context, Giyuu is a (feline) silkie, He can defend himself and shit but boo will absolutely drop his skin about everywhere. Sanemi is a merman siren-ish, (sort of like undyne),
While these two are at each other's throats, Sanemi has no problem Devouring people who tried to steal giyuu's skin. luring whiever is trying to Own Giyuu in that way into their doom, also, Free food, (and defend Caro mio).
People who have no idea what a silkie is, or why the skin matters.
Silkie is a Scandanavian Myth about Seal creatures who can take off their seal skin and becomes very beautiful Young women, without their skin, they cannot return to water, and Hunters(men) would steal these skins so they can force the silkie women to be their free brides,
and of course the meanings changes with time, and with the globalisation of pretty much everything, Silkies are just Animal creatures who can turn into people if they remove their skin, and are bound to whoever owns their skin.
there is this small part in me that tends to imagine what it would be like for giyu and sanemi to end up in a relationship post war, where everything is the same as canon including the marks. it might not cross their minds in the beginning; they are too preoccupied with healing and falling in love, but after a year when it all settles down, and peace is their new reality, that is when the idea creeps into giyu's head and he recalls that meeting they had with amane in which she told them about the marks and their inevitable consequence. I wonder what giyu would feel then, the moment he realizes he might become another person sanemi is forced to lose. would he feel guilt over the momentary relief of knowing he will not have to outlive sanemi? would it sting nonetheless? they are heroes and warriors, after all, death has always been so near and imminent. he and sanemi were always content with that but somehow the idea of their mortality bothers him now, scares him even. is it selfish for him to want more time when the rest of the hashira did not even have any of it? I also think of sanemi in that situation, what about him? how would he feel about taking up giyu's finite and precious time on earth? would he revert to his old self and try to push the other away to keep him safe and happy with someone else who has more time, with someone who could keep giyu's name and legacy going? would a small part of him break knowing that he might have to say goodbye to someone else and would he think it might be easier to never love? I wonder if they will talk about it, fight about it and then leave to spare one another the pain and heartache or will they just never address it and allow themselves the company of the other, knowing that it will end badly? I wonder if they would deem the love of the other worth the sacrifice and future tears. would they grow closer knowing they don't have a lot of time? would they go all in and leave any hesitation behind as they dive deeper into the relationship, giving themselves the permission to fall completely and utterly even if that meant their complete devastation soon after? do they stay or do they go. does giyu step back and allow sanemi to become a father and spare him the pain or does sanemi do his best to make giyu despise him so he can let him go. or would they simply ignore the rules of reality and plunge into a certain sweet love because for once they earned it and for once they deserve to be irrational and young?
A Friendly Reminder that Giyuu is Very Attractive in Canon! - an updated post
So I was the one who made the Attractive Giyuu post before, but looking back, it was a mess, and some of the wording was inaccurate, so I reposted it with proper credits to the original poster and better wording. Many thanks to @demonslayedher for helping me look and translate the text on the source material. (which helped me understand these information in a much better light) Anyways, on to the post!
1. It’s canon that Giyuu has Strong Eyeliner Game. In the first fanbook, it was said that Gotouge apparently draws him with “thick lashes”. The way his eyes are drawn, “the upward curve at the bottom outer edge” is done to make him look more “ikemen” and ikemen means “hot guy”
2. HE IS POPULAR! In the first fanbook and Kimegakuen special, Giyuu got 31 chocolates, the second highest out of the three other popular teachers such as Rengoku and Uzui. Even if Giyuu may not be well liked by some of his peers, it’s safe to say he might have many admirers among the students!
3. The fact that he is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai is no coincidence! He is a seiyuu that is very popular for voicing handsome characters (or those marketing to be more attractive, I’m looking at you Reigen)
Sakurai-san is certainly not limited to handsome characters, he has incredible voice range after all, but the voice he uses for Giyuu tends to be the one he does for “Ikemen” Characters. Some of the “handsome/cool” roles he played includes: Cloud strife, Makishima Shougo,Yamato Kurosawa and Albert Hawke, Griffith from Berserk, Su from Honkai, Merlin from FGO, just to name a few. (He also did a lot of BL roles but we will not get into that)
In this chapter, Uzui encounters a wild smiling!Giyuu, what he doesn’t know was that this is actually not the true Giyuu but rather, a ghost impersonating him. nonetheless Uzui’s POV off handedly mentioned how this cheerful Giyuu looked handsome.

5. In the KNY Exhibit “The Legend of Zenitsu”, Zenitsu drew three people that he hated for being close to Nezuko, Brother-in-Law (Tanjiro), Pork Tonkatsu (Inosuke) and the Ugly Side Character TO-MI-O-KA (Giyuu).
You can check out mimizili’s twitter for the pictures, there is a description, and It’s hard to really make it out, but thanks to @demonslayedher what she was able to understand is that The uglier Zenitsu’s drawings were, the more of a “slender pretty type boy” they are in real life, and it’s safe to say Zenitsu’s drawing of Giyuu was the ugliest of the bunch…..
(as for the “slender pretty boy” its worth noting some of the specific words that are used such as “シュッとした/shuttoshita” which is a slang for someone with slender build and “美男” which means “beautiful man" all which heavily alludes to Giyuu in one way or another)
So yeah! Giyuu is canon beautiful, that’s it, that’s the post.
I had totally blanked on a lot of this in this Ask about Giyuu’s canonical conventional attractiveness, but as the fandom appeared from the woodwork like Kakushi to the rescue with reminders of many of these elements I was very quickly confident in Giyuu’s in-universe attractiveness. Thank you so much for putting all the reasons back on easy display, @mikuyuuss!! The evidence and conclusion was yours and you deserve credit! And thank you @zardx for helping us track back down the contents!
The only thing I would add/clarify is that because Japanese can be a very vague, context-reliant language is that in the captions of Zenitsu’s depictions of the “Three Side Characters from ‘The Legend of Zenitsu’” only Tomioka (whose name he doesn’t even both writing in kanji, just big, blocky katakana) is specifically described as ugly, and none are described as disliked specifically.
While the title of the section was pretty general, the tiny commentary underneath everything says the part about how the uglier Zenitsu depicts the character, the more attractive they tend to be in real life. This could imply that Tanjiro & Inosuke/Pork Tonkatsu are also disliked for being close to Nezuko (which, like, yeahhh, to an extent), I read that comment as being more specific to Giyuu.
Anyway, as that is in-universe reference to how attractive someone is (as opposed to only making a hottie to appeal to viewers), I take that as the most conclusive evidence of Giyuu’s canonical attractiveness.
Good for you, Giyuu!!
Physical attractiveness is no measure of being liked (though chocolate is a better measure of that for sure), but good for you!!

I am noo senpai. here’s a real senpai
What i’ll show you is how i do it. So there’s many mistakes here and there. That’s why i also advise to watch the video I linked to avoid my errors or the things i’ve dismissed through the force of habit
How i generally place it on the face generally goes like this:
I start from the space between the eyes and the top of the nose bridge. Then I roughly place the brow area and put the eye sockets under them.
Place the eye lids according to the shape you want to use. I have a very messy style when I often go over the sketch and erase and go over it again. I start with a red color then go over with a multiply pen or a darker color to add details and things like lids etc
Use the eye socket base to place the lids if you need to
on posed eye the lid often hides a bit of the eyeball
And you should be done
Add some fuzzy eyelashes and lid and shadows. Eyebrows can do a lot to one’s look so try to play with them too. I give Yugi sharp and triangular eyebrows.
And that’s roughly it. Most of the time i do it in a simpler manner where i just go quickly BLEH
All i can say is have fun through observation and playing with the shapes. Even tracing over pictures of eyes and trying to mark each parts can help. Finding your own points of observation will help.

Kochou said that I was disliked, so I asked her if she disliked me too. For someone so quick to have a smiling response to everything, she struggled to reply. She was the one who proposed marriage and swayed me, so I had thought that meant she had feelings for me. There would be no other way to read it. However, with as unbothered as she is by my absence, I have to wonder.
It’s been ten days since I had last contact with her. I went home to the Butterfly Mansion, but she had just departed for a mission, so I didn’t stay long so as not to trouble the girls. It may still be a few days before I can return again, but it’s always likely she’ll be busy. She’s incredible in that way, taking on all the care of our injured Corp members in addition to her Pillar missions. It must be in her personality to keep adding to what keeps her busy, like taking me in as though I looked like I needed the care. Although the times we’ve spent together have been nice, I don’t require it. My duties call for me to always be ready for battle, and I’ve always kept my heart steady.
So has she. We are Pillars first, and no amount of affection can sway us—whether an abundance or a lack.
I’m not bothered by lacking something I didn’t deserve in the first place.
Last night again, I was too late to prevent a family from being slaughtered. There were no survivors this time, aside from the eldest child who was still ravenous with a recent transformation. Having to chase him down and keep him from harming anyone else kept me off the trail of the progenitor of demons, who had to have been close by. For centuries, he’s evaded us this way over and over, sacrificing entire families to throw us off his trail. If I were to chide myself over every failure, I would have lost the ability to do anything ages ago. Each time, the anger is something I carry with me, to push myself harder the next time, and the next. Any extent more that I can push myself may be the difference to someone’s survival, no one can afford to lose their life over any of my own lost confidence.

Each time it's a crow I think I recognize, my stomach drops. My mind is already playing the words I dread to hear, as though trying to protect my mind once I someday hear them.
"Kochou Shinobu has died."
Even if I hear them, I'm a Pillar first. That was what we promised each other. I'll always do as I must.
The crow says nothing as it delivers a letter.
YES, YES, I KNOW, THIS FANDOM HAS TURNED ME INTO SHIPPER TRASH. For this pairing, it was more specifically my own joke AU which later bit me in the back and made me start really, really enjoying GiyuShino (which, for the record, I do not consider canon). Was throwing ideas back and forth with @reicchel again the other day and so here we are with ship content!
Part of the reason I love the Low-Key Married AU (in which it's mostly canon as usual, except that Shinobu and Giyuu have been married for over a year or so, and it's not a secret but they make such little deal about it that many people don't even know they're married) is that it's a frame through which to see every interaction and either make it really, really funny, or very, very, sad. Everything was supposed to be funny, but it keeps hurting, hahaha... aaahhhh.
For instance, in a regular romcom situation, it should be funny that Kanzaburo doesn't deliver all of Giyuu's letters. Knowing these two, who might had started this whole "well, we'll be a couple when we have time" thing by actively writing regular letters, this could had simply given the impression that the other person wasn't writing as much, so they both naturally decreased frequency to match. It's a little lonely, but neither one is going to push the other for more attention.
