in case you're curious, confession executive committee is a series of music videos, novels, movies, and now an anime that tell various interconnected high school shoujo romance stories. if you're familiar with kagepro, imagine that, but with fluffy shoujo.
the rarepair in question isn't so much a pair because it's a polyamorous relationship between three characters:
these three are aizo (left, blond), hiyori (middle, smiling girl), and yujiro!
hiyori is a country girl who moved to tokyo to compete in track and field. she accidentally gets caught up with aizo and yujiro, two high school idols in her class and starts working for them. they get off on the worst first impression ever, but they start growing fond of each other. but they need to keep a low profile or scandals might start to haunt them...
also they get uh, really polyamorous imagery sometimes?
it's basically 'hate each other to friends to lovers' + 'tsundere/girl in denial/tsundere' + 'secret relationship' + 'you can show the side of yourself you hide from everyone else to these people' + 'we admire and encourage and support each other'. the three of them each have moments where it's implied they're into each other so, polyamory time
the three of them had an anime that released earlier this year called heroine tarumono/heroines run the show! you can check it out if you're interested in learning more about them!
since some people asked, here's a bit of an intro to learning more about this rarepair!
originally, their story was told in a series of music videos by honeyworks! here are the three music videos that mainly focus on them:
heroine training plan
2. heroine tarumono:
3. non-fantasy:
these music videos were expanded on and turned into two novels, non-fantasy and heroine training plan:
the novels aren't officially released in english, though...
but, because of certain circumstances, two central characters in the story line of the novels and music videos had to be replaced for the anime. so basically: the anime takes place in an entirely different continuity! it's inspired by the novels and music videos, but certain events go entirely differently!
it's a bit confusing, but my advice to people interested in the series is: watch the anime first, and if you're hooked, start to look into the music videos and novels after!
(plus, some extra photos of the heroine tarumono anime to make you want to watch it)
