lowkey i started becoming more confident in my identity as a nb person because of how i could see sarah manning transcend binary gender roles and how her character isn’t necessarily masculine or feminine, and knowing that people like @nonbinarysarahadvocates see the same thing makes me feel a little less insecure about being nonbinary

is sarah really nonbinary or is it your headcanon?

it’s a headcanon in that it is never stated on the show.

but tatiana has said in an interview that the clones (specifically helena) defy gender. some would say that that still makes it a headcanon, but to me, no one knows the clones better than tatiana does. so when she says that the clones defy gender, that’s what i choose to believe. tat has also said (at some panel, maybe paleyfest) that when she’s playing sarah and sarah has to imitate krystal, that when sarah is dressed as krystal, it feels like sarah’s wearing drag

that and the fact that tat while still p much in character as sarah wore a sweater that said “gender is a drag”, like, that tatiana specifically had THAT sweater on when they took the picture (that was just used over an announcement that there would be a twitter Q&A), when she could have just been wearing her blue tank or literally anything else… i mean. that’s huge. and that basically canonizes it in my eyes.
