when i saw that picture i immediately knew you were going to lose it! if you don't mind could you talk about how you personally knew you were nonbinary? it was never something i'd even considered but now it's been on my mind. if you're not comfortable i'll come to im if it's better 😌
i love that this is my legacy. that someone saw a picture that implied that sarah manning is nonbinary and immediately though “reagan ray punk-rock-science is going to lose her shit over this!!!!” so that’s amazing, first of all. thank you X)
tbh with you i’m still figuring it out! i just started to explore gender fluidity fairly recently – maybe like, in the last two years, tops. i started by exploring the idea through sarah manning (beginning first with the concept of “genderfluid” as opposed to “nonbinary”) and i wrote a fic about it first; a punky monkey wedding, in which sarah was “the groom”
so that’s where i started, honestly. and it’s still a growing exploration. i’m trying things out and trying to decide what fits, what makes me feel more comfortable, what doesn’t – or what does on somedays and doesn’t on others. it’s a very interesting place to be in, but i’m still settling into it and learning. i definitely don’t have all the answers, not even close, but it’s been…. An Alright Place to be.
thanks for the question friend!! :) please don’t hesitate at all if you ever want to come into my IMs and ask me personally about things you’re wondering about :) we can take this journey one step at a time together!
