I can't stop thinking about the club scene. The way Ilya immediately clocked Rose's friend and you could feel the second his heart dropped. He knew Shane had to be there with Rose. And when he sees them, all of his heartbreak and shame that he's been feeling just rushing to him all at once. He loves Shane but truly believes Shane would never choose him because no one ever does. He never opens up but of course he couldn’t help doing that with Shane; he brings that part of Ilya out so of course he wanted him to stay and cuddle him and make him breakfast. But the second Ilya showed a bit of vulnerability with Shane, he ended up leaving him. And now Ilya's lost him.

And of course Shane clocks Ilya's teammates and does the same thing. The way he's not so subtly trying to look around for Ilya until he sees him with a woman. You can see the devastation in his eyes. After that conversation with Ilya about liking women, he realized Ilya could easily move on from what they have and live a "normal" life and be just as happy with a woman in a heterosexual relationship, but Shane can't. Sure he's publicly dating Rose, but he knows deep down he's faking it. He knows there's no happy ending for him.

But there's something somehow more devastating when Shane not even thinking walks towards Ilya like he's drawn to him. Watching Shane look so heartbroken is like seeing someone kick a puppy. It feels like a gut punch that he is seeing Ilya with someone else.

And the music and camera work just perfectly ties everything together.
