But Kolby you have to understand I’ve waited years to get Nolan and then I fucked everything up; and I have  a second chance. He’s my world, and everything in it. Maybe things could have happened differently; and right now I would be the happiest girl on earth knowing that you loved me…because you still do don’t you? I-I can’t loose you over this, not now.

  He grinned a bit at her comment and gave her one last peck on her slightly swollen lips. He stroked and played with her hair blissfully.

“Is that a seal of approval I hear? From Nonnie Shadowood? I can’t believe it. Guess that means I’m just that good a kisser.”

He chuckled a bit, laughing at his own sort of joke. It felt so good to be around her. Her presence was addicting to him and he couldn’t help but brighten up around her. As continued to play with her hair his mind drifted, as it often did when nothing was really happening. Kolby was always a bit on the quiet side, despite him being so popular among the rest of the students.

"It is, and bloody hell, yes you are." She smiled at him before putting her head back down, his heart thumping against her ear. She enjoyed the silence, she didn't have to feel the gap with useless conversation. They were comfortable together and there was nothing to say; they had already found where they fit. She lightly traced his veins on his arm that wasn't playing with her hair and let herself drift away. 

Being with Kolby like this made her feel tethered to the earth. She wasn't constantly floating somewhere without anyone. Nonnie curled up next to him, the couch enough room for the both of them. Looking around she saw dozens of book cases and places for reading. She could see how the Sorting hat had chosen this house for Kolby. He was smart, and quiet. but he held the other traits, Wit, capability, and his old soul just seemed to shriek Ravenclaw. Maybe it was all those things that drew her like a moth to a flame.
