As you might be able to guess, this is a (semi) daily Shockwave blog. Once a day I'll post some form of Shockwave art. If I'm unable to for whatever reason then there will be an announcement about it.

Usually it takes me a while to get to an ask (especially if it involves drawing) so don't expect too quick of an answer

wait i kinda wanna hear you rant abt ur shock bc their design is so interesting..

I have a lot of thoughts about this guy so this might be a bit of a ramble.

First off his alt modes: he is actually a triple changer. I wanted to give him a beast mode but I also dearly love his gun mode so why not both. So he turns into a sarcosuchus and just a general sci-fi minigun.

For personality he's definitely more of a skybound/marvel comics with a bit of general aligned stuff. There is no empurata here, he's just like that. Personally I always like a more emotive Shockwave. I think it gives a bit more interest to his character.

Here's some fun facts I didn't feel like shoving into the other stuff:

He originally was just a fun redesign because I like doing my own spin on characters and then it got out of hand so now I got a whole au going on.

For his beast mode it was between a kronosaurus and a sarcosuchus. The sar won out so that he could still use his alt on land. Also he's not originally a triple changer. That was a modification he got later.

A really specific inspiration for his characterization is the comic Transformers 84' Secrets & Lies

I went through around three designs for him before landing on this one.

I don't know exactly how much more I want to say about this guy because I do have plans to do somethings with him. But if anyone has any other questions I would be delighted to answer. Even if it's asking about other characters.
