Y'all I want Brawn to be an anarch so bad. He deserves it.
The one thing I can't get over about this finale is he 100% would have helped Kiếm had he been able to. Despite everything, he still likes all of these people (tho probably not Khalida anymore)
cuz he has no idea what any of them ever thought of him. This whole season the coterie has been defending him and helping with his self-esteem, but they don't actually seem to think that highly of him behind closed doors? Meanwhile Brawn thinks he's found his people.
But when he's in the world of the anarchs? That's where he actually belongs. He wants to stay, but he has to convince himself that these are the bad guys. Because joining them would mean leaving the safety of the Cam and the people who made him believe they care about him.
The constant "let me go," and "don't make me hurt you" during the fight just broke my heart. He wants to help his friends. He thinks if everyone just calms down he'll get them back again. But they've been using him from day one, and they're just going to keep using him.
Brawn is the blunt instrument. He's the comic relief. Yeah, they'll cheer him up when he's down, but is that really them wanting what's best for him? Wanting him to be happy?
My hope is that if and when he meets the anarch coterie, something will click. He will understand that the Cam will never have his best interest at heart. They will never love him.
Brawn fucking deserves to be happy.
@Xanderrific did such an incredibly beautiful job with this character. Seriously, hats off. I can't wait for more.
