It’s pretty fucked up that Europeans literally traveled to Africa to learn from African scholars but it’s the Europeans scholars who are remembered . . . . Just stop trying to erase Africans and people of African descent from academia. If we are being honest this was evident even before quarantine but here’s another proof that children from lower income families don’t have the same opportunities as more privileged kids
structural racism that has lead to poorer health in black ppl and lower access to healthcare for black ppl is aiding covid19 run thru our neighborhoods. no effective solution against it can succeed w/o addressing the underline racism that’s aiding and abetting it. and my fear (and american history shows that it’s a legit fear) is that while blacks are most affected by covid19 / corona virus, we’ll be the last in line for any treatment, vaccine or cure. it’s the american way.

Meanwhile Anissa Pierce and Grace Choi from Black Lightning, two WoC in a relationship, are completely ignored, and they’ve been around for over a year, Harley Quinn and Batwoman’s shows don’t exist yet.
