I mean we don't really know what he would have been capable of that mission. . . . (also i guarantee you most people forgot Jiro was initially going to go.)

Frankly I think he would have been stopped at the same point/in the same way. They learn about the missing granddaughter. The Kyklos starts whimpering about being afraid or being in pain. He sees the locket. He thinks about Saburo. He has an attack just like he did when he saw the crying ghost boy. Kyklos gets away.

Also, since he would have wanted to capture it to develop a cure for other victims of the curse, the same time delay would have been a risk for him. Rui was initially ready to kill because his first priority is MC being happy. Jiro wouldn't want to kill it because his priority isn't mc--curing her is definitely a bonus but not the first thing on his mind I'd say. His priority is probably progressing anomalous medicine and studying the Kyklos. Can't effectivy do that if it's dead. But the conditions for capture also probably wouldn't be met.

Well, do you remember the exchange that happened just before that scene?

Imagine you know you save somebody's life with 100% certainty. And you know that the person who you'd be saving knows that too. They have one chance to get this done right. There's nothing between you and them that would prevent them from choosing you.

And then they do not choose you.

For the rest of that person's life(which may not be very long!) do you not think you'd hold it against them a little bit?

(The length of her life also plays a part in this--in Japanese she says she did 取り返しのつかないこと something that could not be reversed or undone.) Even if Jin does forgive her, there's a high chance that she wouldn't even be alive to see the day! She doesn't think Jin would forgive her even if she lived a long life of course--his view of her is forever changed because he feels she didn't trust him or perhaps preferred [the risk of] death to having his help--but since she probably will die in a few weeks she'll surely die unforgiven.

I'm really upset that there is no female staff at Darkwick. like it's a girls and boys academy so why there is no female teachers? at least just one zigza! a female teacher who female students fell comfortable talking to would be a really nice character, pretty sure of that.
