i feel like sometimes when you get a new interest a friend will ask you about it and you'll be like "oh yeah i like this normal style"

there's this trend in fashion I've seen a lot and i just... i thought the trend of wearing a winter hat in a way that deliberately doesn't cover your ears (the part that gets most cold) would be the most baffling to me but no!

some people wear trousers that are wide and long (which looks fine, even nice) but they're so wide and long they go over your shoes and drag around on the ground???? I've seen so many people with soaking wet pant legs just marinating in the icy puddles on the ground. Do you never take off your shoes? do you carry around a spare set of trousers for when you go inside?? Do you just let your socks and legs get wet???

I don't understand. do you wash your pants every time you wear them? I'VE SEEN PEOPLE DO THIS WITH WHITE PANTS!! I understand fashion isn't always about comfort but surely this is too far?

I'm recovering from my "I'm not like other people" phase, not liking anything mainstream and avoiding things typical of people in my age group/gender.

I think it originated from me actually liking a lot of things outside the norm, and that sparked a sense of superiority, but i also just deprived myself of a lot of things just because they weren't cool things to like (according to my own made up rules)

Now though! Now I'm letting myself like things I never let myself like as a kid/teen. I really enjoying pop music. I also really like boybands and the color pink. I enjoy romance movies and especially things that don't have a very deep plot.

I also go even deeper into the "weird" that was cringe when I was younger. I AM HAVING FUN AND IT SPARKS JOY.

Is it possible to be casually obsessed with something? like yeah these are my blorbos Sonic the Hedgehog and Hatsune Miku.

Do i know anything about them? no, not really. have I interacted with their media? well i watched the sonic movie and i listened to 2-4 miku songs when i was 12. And i don't feel the need to consume more of their media really.

But also whenever i see them i start frothing at the mouth shaking with happiness
