I am flame and I am fire, I am destruction, Decay and desire I'll hurt you... I'll heal you... I'm your wish, Your dream come true, And I am your darkest Nightmare too I've shown you... I own you.

Reading was my escape and my comfort, my consolation, my stimulant of choice: reading for the pure pleasure of it, for the beautiful stillness that surrounds you when you hear an author’s words reverberating in your head.

Jamie Bell's character was the best thing about Snowpiercer.
Tons of You, Tons of Me
Jason: "There are tons of you and there's tons of me...floating around."
Becca: "Yeah. And this is the sad version of us."
Jason: "Yeah, I guess."
Becca: "But those other versions—in these other versions, everything goes our way.”
Jason: "Mmm-hmm."
Becca: "I like that thought. It’s nice. Somewhere out there I’m having a good time.”
Get Ready for a Rant. Commence.
It never ceases to amaze me that two people can hear the same song, read the same book, or watch the same movie and walk away with completely different experiences. I guess some people would say this is what makes life exciting or interesting...differing opinions, viewpoints, etc. However, I find it extremely annoying. Particularly, when people use these opinions to skew the truth and influence the weak-mindedness of others. They foster these opinions through charisma, lies, and generalizations. And what's worst is that these opinions are formed through ignorance and misunderstanding. Then others support and validate these misguided opinions because they are weak and desperate to matter.
I learned a long time ago to ignore the opinions of others. Through the guise of playful teasing, I have always been berated for what I love and the enthusiasm for which I express that love. But, my validation has never come from the opinions of others and it never will. My beliefs are rooted in how things make me feel. The books I chose to read, the music I listen to in the car, the movies I watch, the actors that inspire me, the people I choose to spend my time with, my faith....they all come from the same place inside me. And I will never compromise that gift in order to concede to the opinions of others.
And I encourage everyone to do the same. Do not reject things based on the opinions of others. You have a brain. You have feelings. You have instincts. Make up your own mind. And I also encourage people to take care when expressing personal, particularly negative, opinions. Imposing your opinions on people who are too lazy to think for themselves doesn't make you right, it makes them stupid.
Where's a good zombie apocalypse when you need it?
Is it wrong that I find signs of life utterly depressing? I drove around on Christmas day and found solace in the empty parking lots and other signs of the Christmasy void of human beings. Today, I was slapped in the face by the existence of so many people. Parking lots were full and there was a line at the ATM. I found myself wishing for more days when the world shut down and people just stayed inside.
The EPIC exit of Zach Attack.
Epic!
This is why Zach is on the show. Pure entertainment.
One of my favorite scenes from The Tudors.
Have BB fans lost their minds?
To the BB fans who are inexplicably mad at Zach for being mad at Frankie. You are MORONS! I understand that Frankie receives a very loyal edit on the show, but in reality, he isn't loyal to Zach at all. Frankie's game has finally blown up in his face and he deserves every consequence that comes his way. I couldn't be more happy about the fact that Zach finally sees the light in regard to Frankie. Zach needs to stick with Nicole. And Frankie supporters need to get a clue and realize that Frankie screwed up his own game.
Squeal Worthy Moment
A perfect ending.
10 Reasons Why Zach is My Guy
Are you really rooting for Zach? Do you really like Zach? Why do you like Zach?
I find myself fielding these types of questions on a regular basis. And the answer is, yes. I really like Zach and I am rooting for him. If you need help understanding why, please read on.
10 reasons why Zach is my guy on BB16:
10. I am a tad (okay a little more than a tad) attracted to him. A lot of fans sing Cody's praises, but I would choose Zach any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
9. He made me like him. I will be the first to admit that I hated Zach from the jump. Pregame interview with Jeff. No. Intro on episode 2. No. When the Live Feed first came on. No. But he changed my mind with one action (see #8) and any man that can do that is a winner in my book. He is also extremely kind and compassionate. The only reason I know this is because I watch the Live Feed. This is obviously not the persona that they want to portray on the show. I mean they didn't even show Zach reading his HOH letter. Why? Because he got visibly emotional while reading and villains don't do things like that.
8. He stood up to dictator Devin. Some of this was seen in the episodes, but a lot of it was not. Zach wasn't going to let Devin push him around. And yes, that is why he ended up on the block. However, I admire anyone who stands up for themselves, especially when playing BB.
7. He survived being on the block. If you really think about his situation in week 2, you will realize what an amazing feat it truly was. Zach is loud, outspoken, and impossible not to notice. He could be viewed as a physical threat just based on his appearance alone. He could also be viewed as a mental threat. The kid has a degree in economics. And finally, he was up against Pao Pao who, let's be honest, isn't a threat in any capacity. For every reason you could possibly imagine, Zach should have been evicted. But he wasn't, he survived. And I realize that Derrick and Cody played a huge role in all of this....but Zach had to be doing something right to convince the majority of the house to keep him.
6. He named Devin as his target. I was so happy to see Devin leave. See ya never.
5. He is smart. Zach may not always make the smartest game moves, but he is one smart cookie. He graduated from the University of Florida with an economics degree. I don't care who you are, mark that under an intelligent accomplishment. I listen to his conversations and he is no dummy.
4. He is persistent. Despite being constantly discounted, Zach continues to share his thoughts and ideas. And even if he is the only one, he believes he is capable of playing the game.
3. He listens. I know it may not seem like it, but Zach does value the opinions of the people he is working with. I have seen Derrick, Cody, and Frankie successfully talk Zach down from the ledge many, many times. I'm not saying it always works, but Zach can acknowledge the smart thinking of others.
2. He isn't afraid to play the game. It seems like almost every single person this season went in with the same strategy, lay low and let everyone else make all the moves. At some point, some one has to play the game. Zach is always ready to play.
1. He is entertaining. I watch BB to see everyone get along and become friends said no person EVER! The Zach Attack moments are what make things interesting and fun to watch. And if you can't acknowledge how hilarious his nomination speech was than you are a Fruit Loop Dingus.
