"Though I'm immensely flattered, I think the term you're looking for is fetish, sweetheart."
You look great!
"If that's sarcasm, it certainly is not appreciated."
petty thief || {kyle & norah}
Kyle was walking past as he noticed the snatch take place. “HEY! YOU SON OF A..” He yelled at the thief then looked at the woman. “You ok did he hurt you ?” Kyle checked her over and then raced off after the guy. The thief was fast but Kyle was faster and bigger. He raced down the road after him until the guy came to a corner. Kyle tackled the guy to the ground and took the bag off him. The guy fought back punching Kyle in the face. Kyle then got annoyed and punched the guy back knocking him unconscious. “Can someone call 911.” He asked as he stood up and wiped his bleeding face on his sleeve. “I think this is your’s mam.” Kyle said apologetically and handed it over to her as a small crowd formed.
Beginning to give up, Norah was ultimately surprised with a tall man she'd never seen before began to come to her rescue. "I'm fine! But for all I know, he's going to --" Before she could even finish her sentence, the man raced after the thief, tackling him to the ground. Norah stared with both shock and awe as the confrontation took place, her mouth dropping open. "I can't believe you just did that -- oh my god, you're bleeding. You're bleeding, oh shit. You really didn't have to do that I --" Cutting herself off, Norah finally processed what had happened, and instantly couldn't help the smile that formed on her face, taking the purse as someone in the small crowd called the police. "I can't even begin to thank you enough, Mr...?"
"Finally that stupid hospital let me out. It's not like I'm crippled -- I just have to wear long sleeves for a few months. And bandages. Not to mention that these burns constantly sting. Ugh, this is sounding worse by the second. I think it's safe to say that I now officially hate parades."
petty thief || {kyle & norah}
This past Thanksgiving had to have been one of the worst days of Norah's entire life. Not only did she get severe burns on both of her arms from that damn float that caught on fire, but she'd been spending almost the last two weeks in the hospital, attempting to recover. No matter how badly she pleaded for the doctors to let her go, they refused, stating that they needed to make sure that she was clear before they sent her off. It was like being in a prison. A depressing, medicinal, and dismal prison.
Today was the day she was released, however, and Norah couldn't have been more relieved. Her palms were itching more than they'd ever had -- especially since she'd missed the most important day of the year; Black Friday. It was the only time of the year where the chances of her getting caught stealing were at it's lowest. Instead of mulling over it like some sort of charity case, though, she decided to spend her first day out downtown, where one of her favorite stores happened to have a new collection in that day. Happy Saturday to me, Norah thought.
As she sauntered down the almost empty street, the unthinkable happened -- her purse was snatched. Letting out a screech, Norah held on to her purse as tightly as she could before the low-life took it out of her grasp. Fuming, the brunette began to chase him, yet she wasn't fast enough in the slightest. "That's a vintage Michael Kohrs, you asshole!" she yelled after him, beginning to slow down as he began to get away.

He smiled at her and nodded, “Maybe next week I’ll even go out,” Silas said, thinking about JP’s offer to go to a nightclub. “Who knows, maybe in a few weeks I’ll be a complete different person.” He was then pulled along to a place along the route of the parade.
"I still don’t get the point of the parade," Silas said as they arrived. It hadn’t started yet, but would soon. "You’ve got a bunch of floats and you watch them go by. What’s the big deal about it?" he asked as it started to snow harder. He noticed the snow started to stick on the streets and hoped it wouldn’t cause too much of a problem. The weather definitely didn’t stop people from coming as it started to get busier on the streets.
Norah smiled back at him, a feeling of pride washing over her. "That's the spirit," she commended, linking her arm through his in a platonic matter. "Not too different, though. I still need my favorite digital marketing specialist to be able to put up with me."Â
With a scoff, the brunette rolled her eyes. "Point? There is no point. It's just for fun. Not everything needs to have a clear and reasonable purpose, silly." she pointed out. The parade was supposed to start in a couple of minutes, no matter how hard it snowed. After all, what's the worst that could happen with a little bad weather? "That's just like wondering why people like us buy name brands, when we could get nice clothes for cheap at some department store like Macy's. Just shut up and enjoy the frigid cheerleaders."

"Oh yeah? Who says you’re charming sober," he joked. He noticed that some snowflakes started to fall. He smiled at the white fluff, he had always loved snow. "Um, I guess so, yeah. From what I saw some things have changed, so honestly have no clue what’s going on," he said, "Do the cheerleaders perform in their actual uniform? Because then they’ll freeze to death."
He bit his lip as she mentioned their last conversation, “Um, yeah, a bit. It’s not a feeling you can get rid off quickly, but I’m thinking more about what to do with my life and what makes me happy. I mean, doing this is already one of the things I wouldn’t have done otherwise. I would have just stayed at home and read a book,” he shrugged, “Small steps, right?”
Norah gave him a sour look, shoving him quite roughly in the shoulder. "Ha. Very funny, Huntington." she said sarcastically, breaking out into a smile. When snow started to fall, she crinkled her nose, the wind starting to whip her rosy cheeks even harder. The flakes were beautiful, but not all that came with it. "You'll love it -- it gets better every single year." she said. "Yes, they do. It's equally sad and amusing."
Pursing her lips as he replied, she got the sneaking suspicion that she probably shouldn't have mentioned their last conversation, which had been surprisingly depressing. It's not like she was too good at this in the first place, though. Norah wasn't exactly used to having friends whom asked for her advice, it was all new to her. "Small steps are excellent! I'm so happy for you." she smiled, looking off into the distance. "I think the parade is about to start. We don't want to miss it." Norah urged, grabbing his arm and pulling him along.

Silas didn’t want to go the parade and fair at all. He had planned to lock himself up in his apartment and maybe do some work or read a book. However, he got a text from Norah asking if he wanted to meet up. He was close to saying no, but decided it might be good for him to go out and about for a bit and it would be nice to spend the afternoon with Norah, one of the few people he could tolerate for more than a few hours. It was already very cold when he left his place to walk to the city and decided to stop quickly for a tea on his way. When he arrived at their meeting point he looked around, not seeing Norah anywhere near. He hoped she would show up soon.
He smiled as he saw her nearing and accepted her hug. “Hey,” he said and shook his head with a smile. “Well, you can drink all you want. But there’s not going a drop of alcohol into my body. Wait, scratch that. Do not drink all you want. I don’t want to look after a drunk Norah,” he laughed softly. “So what exactly do you want to do? I have to say it’s been a long time since I’ve been to the parade and fair.”
Norah rolled her eyes at the man. "You would be lucky to take care of an intoxicated me. I'm just as charming." she quipped, hugging her petite body tightly as the cold air whipped at her skin. The only thing she hated about this city was the frigid weather. If Norah could live anywhere in the world, it would be somewhere that didn't have snow threatening to fall every five minutes within the span of five months.Â
"Oh, so you're basically a born-again parade virgin? You've been missing out -- the Seahawks' Cheerleaders always perform. It's a wonder how they don't get severe hypothermia." she couldn't help but giggle, starting to walk alongside him towards the parade location. Norah was glad that she had someone to spend time with at the event that she didn't have to watch her back around. "By the way, are you feeling any better? I mean, since last time we talked." she asked carefully, looking up at him. "Any ideas spring up in that head of yours?"
Burn, baby, burn { Silas + Norah }
Though Norah couldn't exactly say that she was particularly close with her parents, she did enjoy spending the holidays with them. It was the one time of the year that the girl didn't feel pressured to argue to bicker with them because it was a day of thanks. Maybe she wasn't the most orthodox person in the world, but she did believe that she could put all of that aside for a couple of days per year. Contrary to popular belief, the girl wasn't cold and brittle to the bone. She cared about people -- about family and friends. She just had an extremely peculiar way of showing it.
Because her parents weren't going to arrive for a couple more days after the holiday due to an extended vacation, Norah decided to attend the annual parade & fair with her good friend Silas. He was different than most of the other friends she had -- Norah felt that she could let down her harsh guard and really be herself with him, which is why she was relieved that he agreed to go with her. Finally arriving at their meeting point, the brunette smiled as she walked up to the male. "Hey there," she greeted him, giving him a small hug. "I really hope there's an open bar somewhere nearby. Parades are much more fun that way."
"I’m just so afraid to mess things up and to lose control," he shook his head. "What if I make one wrong choice and everything falls apart? What if I won’t even have the possibility to go back to my old life and I’m stuck in this life I hate even more. Everything is just messed up already and and I kind of feel done with it all. I just think that every choice I make is the wrong one." Now all these words he was thinking were said out loud he couldn’t get away from it anymore: he truly hates his life and even worse, himself.
Norah bit her lower lip, taking in all of his words before offering some of her own. God, when did I become Buddha? "If everything falls apart...well, then you'll just pick up the pieces." she shrugged, rubbing his shoulder lightly. "There are no right answers -- I had to find that out. Everyone does. And it sucks, it really fucking sucks because...because we're, like, taught that, right? All the time when we were young, we had this complex of what was right and what was wrong, but it's all bullshit now." Norah scoffed, shaking her head. "As long as it's the choice you want to make, it won't be wrong."
Yeah, this is my face, just keep staring. You can take a picture if you’d like.
Yeah -- I think I'll pass on that suggestion.
"I thought I had," Silas sighed and took a sip of his water. "But when I think about the future I had in mind, I get so depressed." He stayed quiet for a bit and then started talking again. "I met this guy and he’s just living the life, you know? And I think about what I’ve done, what I wanted to do… there’s nothing exciting about my life, nothing fun. I would like to do something that’s so out of my comfort zone. Just something that’s maybe even a bit crazy. I just want to feel alive."
Norah looked down at her hands, nodding as Silas spoke. It was all so odd to her -- seemed like he had it all. A well-paying job, a nice apartment, looks and friends. It was odd; while he was looking to lose his stability, she was looking to find some. "So, what's stopping you, then?" she raised an eyebrow, resting a hand on the male's shoulder. "If you're not happy, then you gotta do something about it. And, lucky for you, I can help you with that." she shrugged. "Don't underestimate yourself, Silas. You're capable of an exciting life."
If a squirrel spends its entire life eating nuts. Does that make it a whore?
A grit of her teeth came next, and Samantha groaned under her breath. It wasn’t fair for her cousin to be this cruel to her. Typically, any nickname wouldn’t bother this blonde. But Sammy just grinded her gears. “You know exactly what you’re doing, and it’s fucking appalling,” she said, frowning widely. Showing her cousin that this kind of stuff hurt her was the worst thing to do, but was she just supposed to stand there and take it? “Oh, yes, because partying and running for my life is the exact same thing, right?” The sarcasm that rolled off her tongue was burning with anger. A burst of pain pulsed through her hip, and she tried her best to mask the expression she knew would soon come over her features. “You aren’t even worth my time,” Samantha muttered, turning on her heels to head to the back of the line.Â
Norah waved her off, hearing her name called over her shoulder due to her latte being finished. "Listen, Samantha, to get by in the world, you're gonna need to find some sort of a backbone." she shrugged, as if she was teaching her cousin some 'valuable lesson'. The fact of the matter was, Norah just had to win. At all times, she felt the need to one up everyone who threatened her. "Of course not, don't be stupid. It's a simple thing of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. All that I'm saying is that if you hadn't felt the need to play dress up and throw back a few shots, none of this would have happened." Taking a sip of her hot beverage, she gave the blonde a coy smile. "Have a nice day, Sammy!" she waved goodbye, clicking her heels away and out the door.
