communications au, anyone? Norway grows up with his verbally abusive dad, Denmark, who is emotionally unstable and especially so after his mother left; abusive in a way saying that Norway should never leave him alone, and that he couldn't wait for them both to die- not so often raising a hand. Norway eventually escapes through childhood friend, Romania; who happens to have synthesia. Denmark continuously calls them to harass Romania over the phone, accusing him of hurting Norway. Eventually Norway just packs up and moves somewhere else with Romania, who grows anxious about the fact that Norway was able to cut Denmark out of his life so easily. He continuously asks for reassurance that Norway won't do the same to him that he did to his father; eventually beginning to remind Norway of how Denmark was towards him. One night, Norway packs his bags and decides he's gonna leave in the middle of the night - but Romania catches him, unstable in reasoning and overcome with emotion grabs a knife and slits his throat. Romania forgets what happened and goes about his life as normal, tricking himself into hearing the colours of his husbands voice in the radio. After a while, he recalls what happens and decides to hang himself, as he figures it's the only suitable punishment. communications belongs to @/ghost-and-pals and is a lot more complex than what is described there.

Hello guys! As suggested by a cool dude @agentduckorico we are going to have an aesthetic competition with which we hope to bring more people to aesthetics side and liven up the fandom a little! So, to know everything you need to know just keep on reading!

The Salt Competition will be split in two rounds. To submit your works publish them on your blog with the #competingforsalt and make sure to tag us as well so that we can see it ( Not in the tags, mind you. We don’t get a notification if you tag us in tags, so we can’t take your work in consideration).  We would prefer it if it were personal blogs, but in case you run an aesthetic blog you can join, but keep in mind that you will be automatically disqualified from the first prize, but you will be able to win one of the two other ones. So, you must be curious about our prompts ! Since it’s the first one and we don’t know how many people will come and apply, we decided to keep it pretty basic.

Round 1: Favorite canon male character.  Round 2: Favorite canon female character.

Aesthetics should be done in the same if not similar format as ours. That means a single picture should be 300x200 on 600x800 display. Moodboards don’t count. You don’t have to use a quote, but it would be better if you do. 

And the most important part, round 1 ends on 2 of December !! So you have four days to go at it. We will finish the competition at 12 am GMT. So when London says its 12 am, the competition ends, and every work submitted afterwards won’t be counted!

If you pass the first round, you will be in the second one, competing for one of the three following prizes. 

1. Guest spot as Admin Refined Salt !  2. A shoutout! 3. You get to pick three Aesthetics/Moodboards/headcanon lists/character analysis/ficlets of your choosing which shall be done before Christmas and tagged with your blog name!

And finally just a few rules to stick with. 1. If you are unsure if your character is considered canon, advise with the HetaliaWiki. If you’re still unsure, message us privately. 2. You can only submit one work ! No double or triple submits. Just one work per blog. 3. Have fun with it! We look forward to seeing your work!
