Well, I don’t over-pursue and I don’t under-pursue. It was never really about money, especially when I was just starting out as an artist back in my twenties. I was driven by a desire to simply live off my art, to survive, pay rent, learn new things, and enjoy it. Plus, my family didn’t grow up with any money, and we managed. My Dad used to say when I was younger, “If money can fix your problems, you don’t really have problems.” So right now, I’m in a good place where I work really hard, and take my work more seriously than I did when I first started out.
