You mean getting into the genres to enjoy the music, or getting to know more of it?

If you mean the first, I recommend this:

Spend some time to connect with the emotions the music will give you. If you're feeling down, angry or whatever, you can find some bands that really fits like Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Taake and one of my top favorites, Slagmaur. Make the music represent the worst in you!

If you want band recommendations for the genres, check out the mentioned above for bm. If you enjoy those, I can give you an entire list of more😅

For death metal, I'll say: listen to Mortician. If you want one song to start with, go for Witches Coven. Otherwise, you can listen to the band Suffocation, and the rest will come🧙‍♂️
