willis hall
notes: great dorm! kitchen includes a dishwasher!! pretty spacious also.
Does first year housing have kitchens?
No
which freshman dorms will allow you to be able to loft your bed all the way so you can put your desk underneath?
I’m not sure unfortunately
does anybody have photos inside the 3/2 economy suite at 153 hemenway?
Can anyone submit pictures?
Do you know the depth/height of the beds at northeastern?
bed height is adjustable-- you can even get your bed lofted in some dorms if the ceiling is high enough. dimensions of the mattress are twin extra long.
Anyone have any pics or wanna share experiences of the Douglass Park apartments? I'll be living there next year in a room with two doubles and would love any info I can get!
anyone have info or pictures?
How are the 4 single apartment style suites in East Village chosen? Is there anyway to request them as an incoming student? If I form a roommate group with three others, is it possible that we will get one or we we just be split up among two doubles?
Unless something drastic has changed, I don’t think they generally put incoming freshmen into apartments, aside from NU.in kids, who get put into apartments semi-randomly when they come to campus in the Spring (can request to stay with a roommate afaik through). I have no idea what would be the housing outcome of forming a roommate group with 4 people, sorry!
Do all the rooms in West Village C have kitchens?
Yes, I believe all the West Villages are apartment-style only (which means they come with a kitchen and bathroom)
can we rent a mini fridge and microwave from NU?
Yup! NEU partners with a microfridge vendor. Info here: https://www.northeastern.edu/housing/vendor-information/
(pictured: bedroom C and kitchen)
additional notes:
Kitchen is quite small, difficult to cook with more than 1 or 2 people in there at a time. Counter space is very tight. We ended up switching the furniture of the two common rooms, putting the table and chairs in the larger room for studying and the couches and comfy chairs in the smaller room for watching tv. All the bedrooms are a bit awkward and tight with 2 people, but it works. Room A is quite dark, room B is the most cramped, and room C is the loudest (next to kitchen and main rooms). All in all it was a decent place to live though.
Loftman Hall, 6 person apartment. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, 4 closets.
In order: Picture from the front door, facing the front door, dining room, kitchen (microwave not included with apartment), kitchen from another angle, bathroom 1, hallway to bathroom 2 and bedroom C, bedroom A, bedroom B (½)
kerr hall (photo 1 of 4) economy triple
it was a really cozy dorm, a little cramped but really nice. i loved this dorm, i had really great roommates. the common rooms are on the 4th and 6th floor and they get kinda crowded so i’d recommend making some friends in white hall if you wanna meet people in the dorm.

Douglass Park, Enhanced Doubles, Leased Property - Pt. 2
Part 2 of DP submission w/ images of both bedrooms (and our views). The first bedroom on the left has a closet and en suite bathroom with a shower stall (images 1, 2, & 3). The second bathroom on the right has a large closet and the bathroom right across in the hallway was theirs (images 4, 5, & 6). Both rooms had large windows with killer views (images 7 & 8).
Typical Leased Prop caveats: pay for own internet, building management not as responsive as NEU facilities, laundry is twice as expensive in-building but we could do ours in Dav B next door (which we always did).
Really going to miss this apartment and Northeastern dorms has always been a great resource for us, so we wanted to submit.
Douglass Park, Enhanced Doubles (Leased Property) - Pt. 1
It only lets me submit 10 images at a time, hence a two part submission. The layout is you walk in the front door into a short hallway (image 1). At the end of the entry way, ot opens up to a very large common space, living room on left (image 2), dining table on right (image 3). If you turn right towards dining table, there is another open doorway that leads to the kitchen (images 4 & 5). If you go left after entryway, there is a linen closet and the entrance to the first bathroom & bedrooms (images 6 & 7).
