hadley x bear
“of course i know bear. and you’ve never hurt me in any other way. i promise.” she smiled. a part of her suddenly felt guilty knowing she had been the cause of bear’s pain before. she still hadn’t spoken properly to oscar since that night, but she only wondered how bear had handled it. hadley shrugged her shoulders, a tiny smile on her face as she thought to herself. “i think i’m better off staying home and focusing on our child together. besides, i don’t want you to have to spend time looking for other sleeves. i am here for you, bear.” she affirmed, pressing her lips to his. “when i get pregnant we can figure the rest out.”
“Good.” Bear replied softly. That night of the cabin was still a gaping wound, one that he suspected would grow as Willow’s belly did. Bear was terribly good at ignoring what he didn’t wish to see. That was what allowed him to live with Hadley for years while sleeving other girls when the need struck. “That does sound right. Your mother will lose her mind but I want you at home, taking care of your family and me.” He kissed her again, “And ... speaking of taking care of your man.”
