I must literally be the only college student who gets annoyed at consistently receiving "A's" on my assignments, but I swear to god, it drives me up the fucking wall.

I am spending thousands of dollars a year for you to teach me, for you to tell me that I am doing something incorrectly and then teach me how to do it correctly. I am not spending thousands of dollars for you to tell me that I "should feel proud to be getting an A" and that I "clearly did some serious writing in high school" because that doesn't fucking help me. Teach me to be better, please, and don't tell you can't, or you don't deserve your PhD's.

"I’m not going to tell you who it was, Ethan. Please, just--drop it." She muttered with a shake of her head, the peas on the counter long forgotten. "It’s taken care of, damn it! I don’t need you to do anything else at this point. I just need you to be my brother." A groan of frustration escaped her and GoGo nearly pulls out her own hair from how frequently she’s running her fingers through it. "I’m living on a planet where I have the right of choosing if I want to tell anyone any answers. I’ve told you, I took care of it. What good is it going to make if you try to kick the guy’s ass? Again, might I add.” A pained shrug is all she offers to his question. “I know you can handle yourself in a fight. I just don’t want you to get into one because of me. Specially when I already took care of the problem myself.” Though mostly she was worried for his safety. It had already been enough that she’d ended up like that. She didn’t need to have him get beaten up as well. She wouldn’t forgive herself.

Making sure Ethan came with her to the couch, Leiko plopped on it as comfortably as she could despite her pain, pulling him down with her. Resting her head on his shoulder, she ignored the ache on her cheek and remained there, her voice much softer than before. “I thought you’d be proud, bro. I stood up for myself in front of an asshole.” Despite everything, she couldn’t help her teasing tone as a grin appeared. “—I promise he had it coming, Ethan. And I promise I left him in much worse shape than me.” She stated in a serious tone.

As the pair settled onto the couch, Ethan cast a sidelong glance at his twin, allowing a wry smile to twist its way across his lips. "You know I can still find him whenever I want, right? You have to fall asleep at some point sis, and even if you don't, it's not like you have the time to stop me from going where I want when I want. I can find him tomorrow and kick his ass then. I'm not in any hurry. The longer I have to wait, the angrier I'll get at him. Makes no difference to me," he shrugged, his gaze wandering over the supplies he had left abandoned on the table.

"Besides, come tomorrow, you'll be too sore to get out of bed. You got your ass kicked, Leiko. Clearly, that means as your brother I have to kick someone's ass for you. That applies regardless of whether you've done it already or not." Removing himself from the couch, Ethan glanced back at his sister once more before striding into the kitchen and returning a moment later with the cold bag of peas in one hand. "Here. You forgot these on the counter." Handing the bag to his sister, he resumed his seat on the couch beside her, humouring her by remaining where she could watch him. "And if you really think I'm not going to hunt this asshole down and murder him slowly, you'd better think again. No idiot on this damn planet gets to touch my sister and walk away alive. That's just how this works. Deal with it."

A hiss escaped her at the sensation of the water on her raw knuckles. “You say that like it was my fault in the first place. I can guarantee it wasn’t. The asshole started it.” Leiko muttered, jaw clenched at the pain in her hands. A painful eyeroll later and she glared back at him. “The question was unecessary, I thought a little humor was worth it to lighten the mood.” Wiping her hands on the towel, she began crossing her arms over her chest before wincing and giving up, instead dropping them to her side. “It was this guy. You don’t know him, he’s not even a student at SFIT.” Rubbing her temple, Leiko realises she needs to get ice for her eye, and walking towards the kitchen, opens the freezer and removes a bag of peas which she propmtly places on her cheek. “I feel like I’m under interrogation. Jesus Christ.”

At his demand, however, Leiko glared harder, as if it was even possible. “You don’t need to know who it was, damn it! He wont be bothering me again. If he’s even able to speak at this point. I left him in a pool of his own blood, Ethan. His friends had to help him get up, that’s how bad it was.” Was she in pain? Yes, but she hadn’t let him get the best of her. She’d given just as good as she got. As he began walking towards the door, she straightened, eyes wide and fearful. He’s going to get himself in trouble because of me. “Ethan—” Now, begging wasn’t something she did. At all. And he knew that. But there was nothing else she could do just then. He was bound to get either hurt or in trouble. “—Ethan, please.” With what little strength she had, Leiko made her way towards him, eyes pleading and fearful for him. “Please, just stay here. I just need my brother right now, okay?”

"I don't care who started it, I care that someone hit you," Ethan retorted, his voice flat as he watched his sister. Matching her expression with one of his own, the male waved a hand through the air, his foot tapping impatiently against the floor. "Sorry, I must have missed the joke in all of this," he snapped back, indicating Leiko's battered appearance with a gesture. "It just doesn't seem funny to me, oddly enough. And I don't care if I know him; I can still find him regardless, and I will find him." He watched from the bathroom door as his sister made her way to the kitchen, offering nothing further until she spoke again. "Maybe if you told me who the hell it was, you wouldn't have to feel like that. The sooner you tell me, the sooner I shut up. Or I can keep interrogating you all day- your choice, sis."

His twin's expression left him completely unfazed; he had seen it plenty of times before, after all, and it had long since lost any effect it once had on him. "Someone hit my sister and you think I don't need to know who? What the hell kind of planet are you living on, for Christ's sake?" he demanded, his voice now full of sarcasm coupled with the earlier annoyance. As he made his way toward the door, Ethan ignored his sister, turning back to her only once the door was open and he had one foot outside- and immediately wished that he hadn't turned back at all. "What do you think is going to happen to me?" he asked, attempting to make light of his sister's expression in order to ignore the fact that he couldn't say no to her. "I think I can handle my own in a fight, y'know. It won't be my first." Nonetheless, he stepped back inside, the door falling shut behind him as he reached out for Leiko's arm. "C'mon, you need to go sit down."

Okay, so I went to work then went straight from work to campus to spend four hours helping a friend write a nursing paper on things I still barely understand. Yep, it's time to go to bed for a year. Bye.

Apparently I look like a stagehand because I'm dressed in all black. I'm okay with that. Black is a wonderful colour, I've got my red scarf for a bit of actual colour, life is good. I can deal with doing the stagehand look.
