@nosleep2001
bring back Tumblr 2011
hiiii I rlly like ur blog, thx for following my seapunk blog :)
Oh my gosh, thank you! You know, I haven’t used Tumblr in so long, but last night I randomly felt like getting back on.
I was sitting in bed when I saw a TikTok talking about chillwave music and how genres like indie electronic, vaporwave, chillwave, dream pop, and shoegaze were such a defining sound of the early 2010s. I absolutely loved that music back then, and it really shaped my taste because I was a teenager when I first discovered it. I immediately fell in love with that whole aesthetic and sound.
Now that I’m an adult—I turn 31 in August—I thought, you know what? I’m going back to my roots. So I made a playlist with that exact vibe. I found myself thinking about being younger, listening to those songs, scrolling through Tumblr, and just getting completely immersed in that aesthetic.
So I logged back into Tumblr and started reblogging things that I thought were beautiful, nostalgic, and still genuinely cool today, all while listening to that playlist. One of your posts happened to be something that really inspired me, and I just thought that was such a cool full-circle moment.
I know this message is kind of long, but I just wanted to share that with you. Keep doing you.
I love being me
