Day 14 no longer bed bound! I have permission to use a wheelchair! Excruciating nerve pain shooting from the end of my stump through my leg, hip and back! I cant think straight! Yay!

day 6 bed bound, my pt visited me (we're friends by now) and told me im lucky i did not break anything from the fall. he also said excruciating pain is normal as i fell on severed nerves so basically i have to suck it up and thank the gods it could have been so much worse

2nd day spent between the bed and the couch, pain did not diminish, quite the opposite, it increased to my knee, thigh and hip. i feel miserable

spent 9+ hours at the er yesterday to get an xray and luckily nothing's broken, only very swollen and bruised, probably all the titanium still inside my residual limb protected it from the impact. they said it happens all the time so i feel less stupid i guess?? anyway, they sent me home with painkillers and now im on the couch for a few weeks resting and icing. ortho said my nerves could take a long time healing so in the meantime no prosthesis
