Munich, BMW’s hometown, hosted the 1972 Summer Olympics, and to mark the occasion, the city’s car maker created a concept car to showcase the company’s expertise. Designed by Paul Bracq, the BMW Turbo featured futuristic gullwing doors and a rudimentary radar-based distance warning system. Powered by the 4 cylinder 2.0 litre turbocharged engine from the 2002 Turbo, only two prototypes were ever built.
The Lotus Etna concept of 1984 was an Italdesign proposal for a V8-engined successor to the Esprit, also the work of Giugiaro. It used an expanded Esprit platform but the precarious financial position of Lotus meant the project was put on hold. When General Motors took a controlling stake in Lotus in 1986, the Etna was cancelled.

Surrealist office space in a preserved/adaptive reuse of a 1907 church - Oklahoma City, OK (early 1990s)
Designed by HTB, Inc.
Included the third image since it's an example of a surreal, mostly forgotten trend in postmodern spaces: adding mannequins/contemporary 'statues' as a part of the overall decor (outside of their more typical applications in store windows, modeling clothing in department stores, etc.); in this case construction workers perpetually 'repairing' the old church facade.
