telling husband!naoya you can’t seem to find your favourite necklace anywhere—can he please help? and he goes and wraps one large veiny hand around your neck: “oh you mean this?”

One of Naoya’s favorite things to do with his daughter is teasing her.
For example, he likes to pinch her cheeks; he just can’t avoid falling victim to her soft, rosy, puffy cheeks. And such, he has to pinch them whenever possible.
“Heh, what’s got you so moody, dumpling?” He says with a smug smirk, enjoying how his adorable Naomi tries to peel away from her annoying papa, whining her frustration, to no avail.
“Don’t bother her, darling, or she won’t let you carry her anymore.” You say, and though you found her reaction simply adorable, you’d always stand by her side.
“Alright.” He sighs in defeat, but not without giving her one last pinch on the cheek which she retaliates by slapping his hand. “Oh, you’re quite feisty already, just like mama, aren’t you?”
Naoya certainly has a way of annoying you and his baby, just the same way he knows how to make it up for both.
Yet ultimately, his favorite thing to do is lay by her side while she’s asleep. Watching her chest move up and down, breathing slowly as she’s in deep slumber. Possibly dreaming about her favorite plushies or whatever games mama and her will play when morning comes—It’s a sight that fills him with satisfaction; A kind of warmth upon knowing that his baby is safe, well-tended, happy.
But most importantly chubby. He just loves her tiny fingers, how they curl around his or into that small fist whenever she’s determined to do something—or her tummy! Especially her tummy, which he liked to blow raspberries on, filling the room with heartwarming giggles he could hardly believe he was listening to! But what did he expect from someone as charming as his daughter?
A radiant piece of joy Naoya never thought he’d ever experience, let alone deserve.
Naomi is all the good in the world that motivates him to be better, and for that, he could only be grateful.
