For those unfamiliar: Love Alarm - a webcomic by Kye Young Chon. LoveAlarm is an app that alerts "Someone within a 10 m radius likes you.", letting you know of others' feelings.
In the AU:
The app just barely launched.
Pomni/Abby hasn't really installed it yet. She doesn't really see any point in that. Her curiosity is sort of drained atm, she does not want to date!
Jax/Leeroy installed it right away. And feeling the buzz in his hand every time the counter goes up? Feeds his ego really really nicely.
Well, it's not exactly his fault. Just being decently attractive and knowing when to say the right words usually is enough to send the hearts fluttering away. It's a bit like a game to him. He never says he wants to date, he never even suggests a date. He's just content with the interest.
There is someone who just... Doesn't ever send him any notifications. Abigail.
They lock eyes sometimes.
And at moments he kind of had to pin her to a metro wall, although that was an accident and also all he could do so that she doesn't get absolutely crushed by other people. They were on their way to a location, the car broke and - yeah, awkward. Wouldn't be with any other girl, but that was Abigail.
But it makes him quite curious - why doesn't it ever buzz near her?
He tries to figure it out. A lot. Lee is almost concerned even
But! He's been around her a lot. Hell, even when they sometimes go one on one to check out locations, he saw her phone. Even held it. Never a single buzz. He does not like her either. He is 100% safe.
But it has him curious... If he doesn't like her, and she doesn't like him... How would it be to kiss her? Is it normal that he isn't opposed to the idea of kissing someone he doesn't like?
Although... Asking her when in some random corner of an abandoned house was a mildly romantic idea.
