Been a sad year for the calico critter Fandom.

The news that the import restrictions regarding small parts for toddler toys now is applied to calico critters (why they cant just fall under dollhouse miniatures idk). This means imports on new releases will either fully halt or we will get "modified" versions...which is why we have been getting boring outfits with screenprinted patterns/buttons.

The critter forum shut down a few months ago and ive lost contact with several critter friends who dont use social media. Plus we lost a lot of good info.

Now one of the bigger critter facebook groups is shutting down. 🫠 -ive run groups before and even co-ran a critter group that did really well until the owner shut down the group. So ive contemplated making one again but idk if I have the same energy as I used to. Ive struggled being creative lately and idk if it would help that or just become another echo chamber of small interaction
