it annoys me that people nostalgia ride so much, especially when it comes to media. i assure you, the avengers movie could still be really good if it doesn’t have a lot of the characters who have been here for over a decade. this isn’t really a problem when it comes to more dedicated fans, or people who have watched the entire mcu (or at least all the movies), but it’s a lot of more casual fans who have seen 5-10 marvel movies who say “its not the same”. it’s not the same, but that doesn’t inherently mean the movie will be bad if the original 6 aren’t in it?? they would probably say the same if avengers endgame was exactly the same but the characters were different. also, some of marvel’s more recent films, like spider-man bnd, fantastic four and thunderbolts have all been good movies with interesting and well-written characters
