y'all im not particularly a chaudrey shipper but im still sat here in my feelings thinking abt how long chad must have loved audrey for whilst ben had her and didn't want her. there are so many times in the franchise where he just wants to make her happy and do what he can for her. he goes to war for her in seconds and he most likely had to sit for years as his best friend took the girl he was in love w for granted. how many times has chad had to wipe her tears, hold her and stroke her hair as she sobs and not say anything - not tell her he loves her, not beg her to leave him, just hold her and be there for her in any way that he can.

i was going to make this a separate post, but it seems like it might be a helpful addition to this one:

these are all passages from Audrey’s Diary (Tina McLeef) that i picked up a few days ago. this is actually what stood out to me the most while reading it; chad doesn’t hesitate for a second before trying to help or comfort audrey, he does everything he can for her. still, she explicitly says that he isn’t enough for her.

it makes me so so emotional watching chad in the movies and seeing where his redemption comes from - it comes from this selfless love for audrey that prevails in every situation he's placed in with her. she's completely his priority and it's what redeems him.
