something i wish i had realized earlier: you can write poems on the same subject more than once. you can write, paint, draw the same thing over and over if you want to. you can spend your whole life making art about oranges. i think i always felt this pressure to get it right the first time like i couldn’t go back and use that inspiration again. but you can. you can go back and revisit it. you can pick up the conversation again and again if you have more to say.

That super popular girl with tons of friends tried to kill herself last week, and no one noticed her eyes where blood shocked from the pills.

That kid who seems standoffish and who doesn't trust anyone was framed last year with a gun in his backpack and was told to take it home or get the school shot up. 

That girl who was called ‘chubby’ used to be anorexic. She is healthy now.

That boy who seems very quiet and weak got his first tattoo when he was 13 on his hip and does coke.

That girl who draws all over her arms used to self-harm and drawing calms her down. 

People all have things in their lives you wouldn't think about. Everyone, every single person, has been through something that they don't talk about.

Klaus got locked up in a mausoleum full of ghosts, ended up becoming a junkie just to deal with the horror of his everyday life, also went to Vietnam during the war, lost his boyfriend to war violence, came back with PTSD, kicked heroin and instead of trying to murder his siblings, actually saved their lives a couple of times in addition to being a conduit for Ghost Ben, but sure, Vanya’s had a hard life.

Yeah, Vanya should totally survive the apocalypse she caused. She needed to play her violin so that everyone can see how special she is. I get it. Yeah, of course I want to see her redemption arc 😑

I’ve been debating unfollowing my ex-best friend on Instagram and then I looked at her permanent stories and she has a whole thing about how her eyes change to three different colors and how you can tell...HAHAHAHAHA never unfollowed someone so fast
