If you didn’t give the context you’d have me believing these were postmodern deconstructions of the joke genre I’m so done with modern philosophy.
These are amazing. And the comments are better.

Tim Doyle interviewed by @warholian!
Caux Collective Introduces: Tim Doyle
Within the Fine Art world, you can often find mainstream social influences such as film and television bleeding into an artists personal work. These beautifully moody reimaginings of well-known locations such as the family home on Evergreen Terrace, the Kwik-E-Mart and Moe’s Bar from the long-running animated sitcom, The Simpsons, are part of an exhibition named ‘Unreal Estate’ by the fantastic American Illustrator & Print Maker, Tim Doyle.
Whilst these compositions are immediately recognisable to anybody who has seen the show, there is a sense of privilege that accompanies these images, as we are made to feel that we are being given an opportunity to see parts of Springfield in a brand new way. In addition to their more obvious aesthetic qualities, the illustrations also include small ‘easter egg-like’ inclusions, details retained specifically for the most avid of fans. These feature the clever inclusions of silhouettes of the Simpson family themselves, in the image of their family home, and the minuscule black scribble on a wall in the Kwik-E-Mart image, resembling Bart’s graffiti tag ‘El Barto’.
If you would like to see more of Tim Doyle’s excellent, TV-inspired artwork, head over to his website, as linked above, or find more on his Facebook and Tumblr profiles.

Inspired by the Simpsons this brand new limited edition screen print is now available as a very special open edition.
Each print comes signed and dated by the artist, and yes, that’s a glow in the dark variant!
A good friend has caused me to discover an Austin artist who does prints of all of the best pop culture I'm into. And now you will get to enjoy a regurgitation of tumbles of his stuff.
