Makeup gift volunteers fill in when a participant is unable to get a gift from their assigned partner; these things happen sometimes! If you’d like to volunteer for this role, please message @miru667. Thanks again!

This blog itself is meant to organize the Lorax fandom’s various “Secret Santa” styled events, and to share the works created by our participants once each exchange has ended. Participants do not have to follow, but if you’d like to keep tabs, feel free to follow our tag: #unitetheloraxfandom

Here are the rules!

1) To sign up you must LIKE AND REBLOG the official post for the current exchange. That would be this one! We will message people once they’ve been added to the participants list, so look out for that!

2) We will be contacting you via Tumblr Direct Messaging (DM) to first confirm your participation, and then later to send you the name of your buddy. But if you don't have DMs on, we will be sending it to your tumblr inbox. Make sure you have your inbox open please! You don’t need to have anon on. If we can’t contact you, you will be taken OFF of the list without warning.

3) If you change your username after signing up, you MUST tell us. If you will be unavailable to answer DMs for more than 3 days, PLEASE tell us as well, or else you might get kicked out of the event.

4) Sign-up starts TODAY (November 30th) and will be CLOSED on December 6th 23:59 EST. You MUST reply to our DM to confirm your participation by December 7th, 6:00am EST, or else you will be removed from the participants list. Therefore it's advised that you please DM @miru667 yourself if you are joining last minute, to ensure your spot.

5) On December 7th, you will be messaged the name of your secret buddy. They must be unaware that you are their Thneedmas Exchange partner until you post their gift. The period of posting will be December 23rd - January 5th.

6) There will be no room for late sign-ups. If you sign up after the cutoff date, your url will be put on a waiting list, but there are no guarantees.

7) Gifts can be fanart, fanfiction, fan video, etc. If you have any other ideas for your gift, feel free to get creative. Also, please try to keep them related to The Lorax, unless you know your buddy would appreciate something non-Lorax related more (like if they have an OC, for example). If your gift is very obviously low-effort/insincere/trolling/AI, you will be banned from future gift exchanges.

8) If you have had drama in the past with another tumblr user, please let us know ahead of time so we can make certain that neither of you are assigned to each other.

9) Buddies will be assigned by a secret santa generator, so you will be buddied up randomly. If you don’t receive a buddy after the sign-up period is over, then MESSAGE US IMMEDIATELY! DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE THE EXCHANGE OR THE LAST DAY OF THE EXCHANGE OR 2 DAYS AFTER THE EXCHANGE.

10) If you have not received your gift in time, you may make a request for a makeup one created by one of the mods or makeup gift volunteers; this offer is only valid if you’ve come through with your own partner’s gift, it’s only fair.

One of our teacher had a system where we worked with 'wifi' eachtime we talked in class we lost a bar of the "wifi" (was a weird joke and we never held count on that) All the kids usually joked if they needed 'wifi' , they would borrow mine if they wanted to talk more. (I was incredibly shy in middle school, I only talked to like 3 people at school;^;)

They called me Ms. Wifi because of that. I just thought it would be funny if I put 'miss' instead of 'ms' because of my terrible actual wifi connection I have at home lol.

I always wanted to have an "artist" name like celebrities but I didn't know what name I could have, so I added the penultimate letters of my name and put a T, and nnvy was because I didn't know which username to put and I saw it on Pinterest ╮⁠(⁠＾⁠▽⁠＾⁠)⁠╭

For the username, I remember mentioning the original from a post long ago but just to make it easy:

My username is originally from Cookie Run: Ovenbreak, how I got it was one time I wanted to changed my name in the game but I really didn't have the time to think of a good one.

So I decided to use the random generated names button until I find one that sounds good. And I end up having 'AmazingBananaBread' as my username on CR:OB.

And so on, when I signed up or in a web, I would usually go with 'AmazingBananaBread'. And that's also the example for Tumblr too.

so I remember kinda clearly how I made my username.

So in 2023, I was making a new/other account on roblox, my dad and I were thinking what to name my roblox account.

We were gonna name it queen bee (because of Beelzebub from helluva boss, also because she was my fav after her episode) but that name was sadly taken, so we tried "queen of the bees" but that was taken too(I think..)

So while we were thinking of a name, I think my dad picked two names from two characters from helluva boss.

He picked "Loony" and "Octavia" and fused them, that's how I got my username, "LoonyOctavia".

Well, I really love the video game of Yume Nikki. Her protagonist name is “Madotsuki” so I start to use the “Mado” since 2022 approx. I know that I use the part who says “window”, instead of “tsuki” that is prettier because is “moon”. I didn’t knew what that meant until last year ;v;

Oh, the story of my username is actually very funny!

So one day when I was 7 or 8, one of my friends started calling me cheese because I had a borderline unhealthy obsession with cheese.

I was basically a cheese addict...

A few years later, I got my first phone, with Roblox on it. I set my name as 'Doggiecheese', which stayed like that for a few years.

Then my account got banned and I had to make a new one lol.

The username for that is 'Endergirl9677777', and I made an alt acc that I named 'Doggiechees'.

Those still exist now, by the way.

But as I got older I thought it'd be funny to change 'Doggie' to 'Moulding', since I was getting older. And so, I was a molding cheese.

And 'Moulding' is also a bit of a word joke because it actually means that I'm a cheese in a mould, like those you put silicone in to give it a shape and all. You know what I mean.

And so I stayed as Mouldingcheese for a long, long time.

When I got other socials, like tiktok, I put my username as Mouldingcheese as well. But it was taken on some platforms, so I changed it to Mouldingch33se or Mouldingcheezer.

And last year, in 2024, when I got Tumblr, I put my username as Mouldingch33se as well. Because Hell, why not, I've been using that name for years.

So yeah, that's the story of my name.

I'll also put the story of my online name 'Ven' here just because I can and I have free will.

So one day I was making up an oc, or more of a persona really. Big buff guy. Made him Russian, because I was learning Russian at the time.

I named him Vendiros Dimitchki. Eventually I realised he was a stereotype jock, and I hated that, so I didn't do anything with him anymore. He stopped existing, basically.

His nickname was 'Ven', and that also sounds like the first part of my irl name. So I put it as my nickname.

At first it was 'Venster', which I thought was funny because it's a Dutch word that means windowsill in English.

But then it went back to Ven. So now I'm Ven.

i used to be okay being known as Vu on discord for a while but thats cuz my ex inspired his name off of mine and i wanted to keep the name Vu until we broke up. afterwards, i sticked w the name "prixizi" again, and then "vu.pix," vu.pix cuz its a mashup between my two old names prixizi and Vu.
