BLAUE BLUME - LOST SONS OF BOYS

The four boys from Blaue Blume, a band from Copenhagen, Denmark, performed at Fluxbau in Berlin, Germany a few days ago and showed that Scandinavia has a lot more to offer than we already assumed. Not only does Jonas Smith, the singer, have an incredible voice, able to reach the highest and lowest tones in a flawless way, but also just seeing the band on stage is as if this part of the world is giving birth to some of the most interesting looking and sounding people out there.

Every single member of Blaue Blume is mastering his respective instrument on the highest level of perfection and individuality, creating a unique sound based on genuine, almost classical music, with the potential of establishing the genre they define as soft rock/disco pop in all of Europe and even further. Just watching the four perform is so aesthetically pleasing, that no wish remains unfulfilled.

MEG MAC - GRANDMA'S HANDS

Another amazing artist from overseas, Melbourne, Australia based Megan Mclnerney aka. MEG MAC already got all of our attention with her single “Roll Up Your Sleeves”, which is part of her debut EP “MEGMAC”, to be released via littleBIGMAN Records on September 12th.

Her second single from the same EP, “Grandma’s Hands” is a slow starting song with a powerful build-up and a perfectly balanced production incorporating electronic elements as well as the constantly present clapping, which gives it its signature sound, together with her unique voice.

KYNDE - INTO THE NIGHT

The vocals are filled with emotions and slightly dark lyrics, the production combining powerful guitars and drums with beautifully incorporated electronic elements. That is the unusual sound of KYNDE, a mysterious new duo from Berlin, Germany.

It is not easy to find out more about the two, not even the picture gives a hint on their gender. We guess there won't be another option than to wait for them to come out there and show their faces.

KYNDE is unsigned, so far, but the quality of their work gives hope on a bright future for innovative pop music coming out of Germany.

DEAD TIMES - EVERY MOMENT

Calvin Markus and Travis Bunn from Tempe, Arizona formed the duo Dead Times only a bit over two years ago. Although a lot changed since their first songs (Slow Burning Bliss, Centuries), the two kept their signature sound and grew to one of the most promising alternative R&B acts we've seen so far. 

After being introduced to their single "Inner Gold" around one year ago, there was no doubt about Calvin and Travis establishing themselves as two of the innovators in their genre. This June, they were invited to perform at Tokyo's Le Baron De Paris, successfully stepping into the Japanese market, which is known for its "always-ahead-of-time" taste in music, fashion and many more.

Their latest single "Every Moment" combines powerful lyrics with an avant-garde arrangement of countless samples, from drops and bells to various wood drums, resulting in another Dead Times masterpiece.

BEWILDERBEAST - ANYWAY

South East London based singer and producer Gus Before Christ, the other (artist) name behind Bewilderbeast, has been presenting us some of the tracks of his upcoming album Still/Alive, to be released via Airlines Tapes.

Hearing the calm, yet driving and sometimes almost confusing production perfectly suiting the vocals with their typical London touch,"Anyway" definitely deserves more attention, which it will surely receive with the time.

The second half of the project is called Niall Trask and responsible for all visuals associated to the releases of the duo.

Thrupence, from Melbourne, Australia, has more to offer than most artists we encounter. He's not only an amazing producer working closely with artists like Chet Faker and label Future Classic, but also a visual artist, creating beautiful paintings and graphics under his real name Jack Vanzet.

HONNE - WARM ON A COLD NIGHT

Andy and James (last names unknown) from Somerset and Wiltshire in England, formed HONNE and just presented their debut "Warm On A Cold Night", which spread like a wildfire throughout the internet.

With a typical UK production reminding of James Blake and their sexy progressive R&B style, the two man definitely already established themselves and are about to release via Super Recordings on the 1st of September this year.
