two stiff blinks before her voice registers with his. then the surprise of her presence straightens his spine, posture righted as he turns to face her.  he was supposed to meet her downstairs, wasnât he ?  or ââ was he ?    he canât remember now.   thereâs a fog between him and the clock.  between him and her.  he hopes sheâs far enough away not to see it in his eyes.
a barely-trembling hand raises to comb through hair he temporarily forgets is so short.  fingernails graze across his scalp and he relies on that feeling that scratch to level his tone.
       â ANNA .   sorry, i was ââ case files. â  thereâs a file on his desk from the last patient (discharged yesterday).  he brandishes it as if itâs proof, drops it back down on the desk, and pretends the noise of the collision doesnât make him flinch in spite of himself.       â sorry, just . . . let me ââ let me grab my coat. â

IâD LIKE YOU TO IMAGINE   how many people who knew jack fucking shit about house tried to say dumb and meaningless words of comfort to chase after he took on the dudeâs position post - s8.  how many people who were only tangentially important in his life tried to tell him that house would be proud of him or what the fuck ever.
it always happens when somebody dies and chase wouldnât be immune to it.  and on any given day, heâd either plaster his pretty boy smile or  shrug them off so hard they beak their necks hitting the ground. Â
yeah um cool so this is vaguely a sort of starter call, but idk if iâll ever actually get around to really writing them but uh ----- lmk if youâre okay with writing immediately post-series things with me at some point in the next month !!!!!!
okay so this is poorly written but i just wanted ----- NEEDED ------ to talk for a sec about how much i  HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE chaseâs line at houseâs funeral is handled.  because i loathe it.   and iâve always loathed it, but iâve never sat and written about it. Â
the main issue with it isnât his line itself, but rather how itâs positioned with cameronâs line that follows it.

i got tagged in this 5 ever ago -------- five similarities and five differences between mun and muse:Â
FIVEÂ SIMILARITIES :Â
1.  we both have negative relationships with our parents /   absent father and tumultuous relationship with mother .    the fall out for both of us has been a really fucked up way of viewing what gives us worth and what makes us deserving of love / affection ,   as well as hyper-fixation on receiving validation ,   often from those least likely to dish it out .    we consistently seek out mother and father figures in other people to sort of fill that void .
2.   somewhat related but with different manifestations than the above ,  we both obsess over the idea of getting closure .    we canât move on until we find some semblance of it ,  which  sometimes results in us going to very far and odd lengths .
3.   weâve both lived through a significant period of our lives with people around us believing we had significantly more money than we actually have .    that sort of thing leaves you with a strange perception of self ,   i think .
