The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco is a mystery about a sacred library concealed within a labyrinth and the medieval heresies concerning the poverty of Christ. Yet another book calculated to make me miss theology discussions with my grandfather. I feel like I would've gotten more out of it if I could read Latin or if I were better versed in church history. That said, I had a good time rolling around in the words regardless. Also highly recommend the film.
If you are not super conversant in Latin or you slept through the last few lectures on the heresies of the medieval church, may I point you to: The Key to the Name of the Rose: Including Translations of All Non-English Passages, by Adele J. Haft, Jane G. White, and Robert J. White. It's incredibly thorough, and also it's probably in your local public library as well as on the Internet Archive.
Sixth base is seeing my shadow in your reflection as a representation how we parallel one another and how you are unable to move on from me despite the harm we caused one another. I may be gone but the memory of me will never die as I haunt you for the rest of your life.

When the archdemon's wings are so beautiful they blend into the apple blooms 🌸
A sweet romance between two friends healing from their past, and fighting it together when it comes back with a vengeance. Also known as; ace archdemon yearns for the monster smut author and his platonic life partner guard prefers to be a pigeon
The Tailor's Treasure by Alison McKenzie is a spicy sapphic medieval romance with a whole lotta history. Technically the second in a series but can be read as a standalone. It's incredibly rewarding for the reader to witness Constance drawing Isabel out of her shell into a world of pleasure and affection. A wonderful balm for those mourning the loss of Harlequin's historical romance imprint.
Currently a few hours into @nothwell's audiobook of Mr Warren's Profession and it's so fun, I love neurotic buttoned-up freak x gormlessly eager homosexual dynamics
And Gary Furlong's narration is EXCELLENT, easily some of my favourite audio work i've enjoyed this year
