A time has come in which choices must be made. After a superhuman instigated bombing that led to the slaughter of 600 civilians, the UN is looking to pass a new act that forces superhumans to register their identities and abilities, exposing them to the world. In support of the Superhuman Registration Act, Tony Stark encourages superhumans to register, believing that there is no reason to hide. However Steve Rogers opposes this new law, advocating that forcing superhumans to register is an infringement of their given rights. The impending act has superhumans up in arms and split down the middle, pitting friends and teammates against each other. A civil war is coming, and something dark is brewing among the superhuman community. Now is the time to choose a side, which will it be?

I'm really sorry, but I think I'm going to have to go on another hiatus. Things are about to heat up with college and honestly, by the time I have time to reply, the muse just isn't there. I just don't have the energy to do it.

Hi, yes, I'm still here and I suck but I have an essay due soon that I completely forgot about so replies won't be happening tonight or possibly tomorrow. I'll get to them at some point. Promise.

"What did you do to yourself?"

"…didn’t exactly do this to myself. Well okay, maybe I did… my fault I suppose. Bar fight," he admitted, staring at the ground.

"I…I took one job. We needed the money and I didn’t want to stress you out. I didn’t think it would go sideways, it was just a little thing.” He ran a hand down his face and looked at what Anthea was doing. “Ow,” he complained softly, still feeling dizzy.

"Sebastian!" she frowned at him, a clear look of disapproval on her face. "Are you trying to get us discovered? If you pull things like that Moriarty can and will track you down!" She continued to clean his wound, not caring if the alcohol stung him. "Good. I hope it stings, because you're an idiot."

"I mean— I’m no’ ready. I don’ fink I’ll ever be ready, bu’ I go’ a responsibility

t’ ya, don’ I?” He sighed, taking his hand and running it over her head  comfortingly . “Even if I’m no’ ready, I’m no’ leavin’, love,” he reassured her. "I can ge’ ready." Andrew pursed his lips at her last deceleration. Jim  catching them now would be disastrous. He didn’t even want to think about what Jim would do if he found out that Annie was pregnant with his child. "We don’ need to worry abou’ tha’ now."

She looked up and pulled back from his shoulder so she could look him in the eyes. "Andrew..." she shook her head slightly, "I don't want you to do this because you feel like you have a responsibility to me. I don't want this to be something that you feel like you have to do. I...I 'd like you to do this because you want to. If you don't..." she frowned slightly and averted her gaze. "I don't want us to get further down the line and for you to have regrets..."

Miscommunication // Anthea & Sebastian

Sebastian chuckled bitterly at her parting words and gave naught but a nod. He would survive. That was what he did. His job was fifty percent ridiculously dangerous circumstances, and fifty percent survival. And he hadn’t failed any of it thus far. Whether or not she’d actually come through on her end was still a mystery, and one he thought about the entire night through. Thinking of her resulted in in not one but two very frustrated re-imaginings of their evenings together, which were only were frustrating because his hands were otherwise occupied.

The next day was more of the same as the previous. His former ‘allies’ turned torturers, raking down his skin with knives and half drowning him in water and who knew what else. Yet still, Sebastian didn’t talk. And he wouldn’t. No matter what they did, what they said, what they threatened. Sebastian was a man of his word, and he would never betray his own honor. 

When the day was done, or the men were tired, whichever the case, he found himself exhausted and yet unable to sleep. They had placed a spiked collar around his neck, and if he let his head drop, it would press into the flesh. Not enough to kill him, probably, but enough to hurt so much that he stayed awake to avoid it. He didn’t know how long the thing was on before it was removed and replaced with a bag, and he felt himself being tied up in a different fashion, practically hogtied, and shoved into the boot of a car.

Where he was going, he had no idea, but it couldn’t be any worse than where he’d come from. It seemed ‘Anthea’ hadn’t kept up her end of the deal after all. Sebastian could hardly blame her. Even if she wasn’t one of them, it would have been too risky. But he couldn’t think about her again, not now. Now he needed to focus on his escape.

Her plan was working out just the way she'd planned it...almost. True, she had Sebastian in the trunk of a car, driving away from the house, but she also had another man in the passenger side with her. Those sexist Russian pigs thought she wasn't man enough to do a simple transportation job on her own and now she had to find a way to deal with her copilot.

That would have to wait. She couldn't kill him as long as they were in hearing distance of the house or anywhere near the mafia's territory. Sebastian would just have to be patient. She prayed that he didn't get antsy. He seemed like the type to jump the gun, and she knew from their talk the other night that he didn't trust her. He was probably just using her to get him out of there. That was fine. They could discuss more when they were clear of the Mafia. For now she just hoped that he wouldn't do something stupid like try to escape before she got a chance to tell him what the plan was.

Just A Shot Away From You || Anthea & Seb

Sebastian chuckled for the first time in possibly weeks. “Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.” He took a deep breath and tried calming himself because she was right. “I know, I know. We’ve got a good start and we’re not going to make it easy for them to find us. We’ll keep moving, stay hidden, until they give up. They will give up after a while.” He wasn’t sure how long that would take, but however long it was, he’d keep fighting and never give in.

He pulled into the airport parking lot and returned her smile, weakly, but genuinely. “I just want to make sure you’re happy. I know it’s hard for you to be right now, but I think after they lose our trail…I don’t know…maybe we could be happy together.” Getting out of the car he started to pry the license plates off and tossed them in the boot, before pulling out their bags. “I wouldn’t say bothering me, no not at all. Just…well…did I hear you say you wouldn’t be opposed to actually becoming ‘Mrs. Williams?’” he asked with a sly grin.

She shook her head and smiled, "It's okay. I'm just a little tense too, and what you said took me by surprise." Her smile faded slowly, "Do you think that would actually happen? Do you think that they would actually give up on us eventually? What if..." she spoke, and idea slowly coming to her, "What if we sped up that process a little? What if we did something to stage our deaths? Do you think they'd buy it?"

As he pulled into the parking lot and parked, she unbuckled her seat belt so she could face him better and took his face in her hands. "Sebastian, listen to me. I am happy with you. I don't regret this. I know this is hard for both of us, but it's what we both want. If you think that this is a maybe thing, then we should go back, because you're not risking your life for me on a maybe. I am sure that we can be happy together. I'm positive. That's why I'm doing it. Please tell me you feel the same way." She dropped her hands and released his face, getting out of the car with him to help him with the bags. "I-um-" she stuttered and blushed at his question, looking away to avoid his grin, "I-I might have said...something along those lines..."

"What did you do to yourself?"

"…didn’t exactly do this to myself. Well okay, maybe I did… my fault I suppose. Bar fight," he admitted, staring at the ground.

"Yes ma’am," he smiled, removing his shirt. "Uhmm," he looked down at the ground guilty again. "Not technically legal no…” He nodded to her to go ahead with cleaning the wound, gritting his teeth as she applied the alcohol, trying not to make any sound.

She rose a brow when he looked down at the ground. "What is it? What did you do- wait...is this something I want to know?" she asked as she set about cleaning his wounds carefully. There wasn't as much dried blood as she'd expected, so that was good.

She laughed and pulled his shirt up and over his head so that she could kiss down his chest. "You just really want to scare people don't you? What did you have in mind? Make the answer good and maybe I'll say yes?" she teased, speaking with her lips pressed against his skin.

Chapter Two || First Date

Sebastian’s smile widened as she came closer and thanked him. He just shrugged. “I really like it here, it sort of calms me down. So I thought you might like it too. I want you to trust me, but I don’t really know how to show that…I’m not good at this kind of thing. At being…I don’t know, genuine I guess?” He really wasn’t, and he didn’t know why he was saying all this besides that one fact, he wanted her to trust him. Everything Seb knew and had learned told him not to trust anyone, ever. But he wanted so bad to go against that and let his guard down a bit. Just a little.

He propped himself up by leaning back on his elbows and would have used the fact that they were closer to try going in for a kiss, but Anthea beat him to it. It was different from the kiss they’d shared before, different from what he was used to. It was gentle and slow and he tried to match her and keep it that way. Shifting to put his weight on one side, he reached up with one hand to stroke her cheek. Opening his mouth just slightly, he pressed against her lips with his tongue in an asking sort of way, instead of just going for whatever he wanted.

"Well, I hope that you are telling the truth, because I don't know why, but I find myself wanting to trust you." She moved to sit down next to him. "I can tell you're trying, and usually I'd be paranoid that this is all just for show and that you've got something planned that might make things go poorly for me, but...I don't know. My every instinct is telling me not to trust you, but I feel like I can't help myself." She unconsciously moved closer to him. She should know better, but the chemistry between them was undeniable, and she couldn't stop herself.

She leaned into the kiss, pressing her body closer to his. For a brief moment, she wasn't thinking, just reacting. Her hand rested lightly on his chest while the other supported her weight, propping herself up as she hovered over him. She hummed softly as his calloused hand brushed against her soft cheek. When his tongue pressed against her lips, she opened them wider, giving him space to explore her more if he wanted too. She was lost in the kiss and the spark between them. She wanted to taste more of him.
