HE’S TOO GOOD FOR THIS WORLD.

So, theory time: What’s my new wife, Natsumi Kuzuryuu, doing in reserve course?

She was introduced as a “transfer student” by Tengan. Transfer from where? My gut says the talent course.

Throughout episode two, we see Hajime doubting wether he wants to go through with the project (which is almost certainly the one designed to turn him into Izuru), and we know he’s the board’s first choice. But he just needs a strong push, someone who will tell him that he’s only worthwhile if he had a talent, that he’s trash right now and if he ever wants to improve, he has to go through with what the board says. This sentiment has been implied, but no one’s openly said that to him yet.

Now, who’s the only person to openly call the reserve kids trash to their faces? Who’s pushy and cruel and a bit of a bully? Who has a reputation like that?

Natsumi Kuzuryuu.

So my current theory is that the school board briefly moved her from the talent course to the reserve course in order to convince Hajime to go through with the project via whatever means she can. In return, I bet Natsumi and her parents are getting something out of it. (Money? The law turning a blind eye to them? Infinite meme supply? Who knows.)

Also, a converse theory: Natsumi and her parents want her in the talent course, but she doesn’t really have a talent. Hope’s Peak already knows how she is and agrees to give her the title SHSL Little Sister if she does the reserve course thing and bullies Hajime into going into the project first. So they agree to do it so she can get in Hope’s Peak.

Tell me what you guys think about this, it’s currently just a theory based on basically nothing, but I think it makes a bit of sense.

I just realized that if Dangan ronpa-despair was one long OVA, with the cast only enjoying themselves and being dorks during the 12 episodes, i wouldn’t even be mad.

Imagine gundam just bringing all of his animals to Sonia’s palace when they get married and her parents are like Wtf why is there a fucking wolf or some shit in the throne room (because you know if the opportunity presented itself he would have all sorts of potentially dangerous animals that he has miraculously tamed) and sonia would just be like “uhhh that’s Silver Moon Destroyer, god don’t embarrass me, dad” while gundam is laughing maniacally in the fuckin corner for no fucking good reason.

i noticed that if you look at the opening theme and then you look at the three who died so far they look pretty similar if not identical so im wondeirng if this is foreshadowing how they're all gonna die
