Zodiac Aquarius Facts. For more zodiac fun facts, click here.
An Aquarius is a free spirit meaning any attempts to keep them from being who they really are will make them turn away. They don’t mind a little tweaking but they’ll always be true to themselves.
Tips For Attracting Aquarius
- Make them see the good things that set you apart from others. Aquarius likes the one who is not afraid to stand out from the crowd, so don’t be afraid of showing your individuality.
- Communicate your ideas to them and let them see you have the ability to create concepts…. your own, not something already made up.
- Show them you’re above catty/childlike behavior. In other words, let them see you don’t have to go “tit-for-tat” in order to get them back. Maturity wins!
- Express to them how you will be there for them if they need it. Aquarius often feels betrayed and lonely and needs to know there are certain people they can always rely on.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow ((Open RP w/ Artemis and Family))
“Yeah, we hate ‘em. They’re a bunch of jackasses who asked Hermes if he had stolen a candy bar from a store. They were trying to take it from him, until this woman came up and told them to back off and our mom had to show the receipt so they wouldn’t try to arrest him.” Apollo looked back over his shoulder. “Feels like the fucking SS all over again, except this time they have the audacity to go after a child with a candy bar.”
“Filthy pigs, the lot of them,” Demeter mumbled, catching up to Hermes and giving him a shoulder rub.
“In our country, we’re not well-liked either…” Dionysus explained, turning around to look at Masquerade. “We’re called thieves and dirty…and here we’re called… Well, I’ll leave that to your imagination,” he mumbled, gesturing between both of their parents.
“Psh! haven’t you seen Batman or Robin? If they get shot, then they go down!” Hades told him, crossing his arms with a nod. “Yet I still see people giving them all sorts of super hero credit.”
Artemis giggled happily and began to slowly sway as she walked, enjoying the distant music that hummed from a nearby restaurant. “Oh, behind our names?? It’s a tradition started by our great, great, great, great, great, great Grandma! She and her husband were born with names that most people of Europe associated extremely negative with, so they decided to give them a chance to fight fate, they changed it. She chose to name herself Hera while her husband named himself Zeus. It didn’t help them in most places, until they stopped in a small town in Romania. At first it felt like they had no place to go, until people there heard their names and immediately welcomed them in!”
“It’s a really nice story, because most of our other stories end in death!” Hades explained further, a smile still somehow on his face. “Our generations of family lived there, until our dad and mom met each other, deciding it was time for a chance of scenery to raise a family as big as ours. When Artemis and I turned five, we moved to Italy! That’s where Hermes was born! Then…we moved to Germany where we live now! Drobeta-Turnu Severin is actually where a majority of our family was born. Hermes and Dad were the only two who were born somewhere else!”
Masquerade gave a nod and a sneer at the thought of the ill practices the police partook in. “They don’t know their asses from a hole in the ground,” he agreed, “God forbid you look anything other than white.” By that logic, Strike was the only one of his group safe from that. And it was true.
He gave a grunt of affirmation to Hades. Well, he wasn’t wrong. But Masquerade was far from a rich aristocrat with a fancy car and weapons either. But he knew how people acted. If he said he was a homeless criminal turned hero, they’d freak out, right? Everyone always did.
He listened to Artemis and Hades explain about their family’s history and names. It was interesting, like a family’s unique culture.
“Didn’t expect an interesting answer,” he chuckled, “But Germany is far from Vegas. And you guys look like you’re vagrants of sort. I assume you’ll sneak on a plane to get back?”
Somewhere Over the Rainbow ((Open RP w/ Artemis and Family))
“Noooo, he’s Sokka, so he’s technically usele—Ah! OW! OW!” Artemis whined, reaching back to smack Apollo’s hand as he tugged her braid. “Don’t be—OW!—mad that I—ee!—pointed out that you’re—hng!—Sokka!!” She hastily called, managing to untangle his fingers from her hair, shaking her head and pouting, not looking like she was hurt or phased by the whole situation.
“If he’s Sokka and you’re Zuko, then you two technically walk in on each other at the wrong time! Like when Apollo is trying to seduce—Wait, who is Suki? It can’t be one of our family members…”
“Oh, what about Dorothy??”
“YEAH! When he’s—OW!” Once more Apollo snagged something of Hades’s, which he managed to yank away from the other by twisting out of his hold. “Then you have to get advice about dealing with Demeter—Oo, that’s a tough one to deal with!” Hades continued on the story with his sister, not looking phased when Demeter jabbed him in the side. “At least you solve the murder mystery that is finding who killed her mom!”
“I’m still alive—!”
“MOM, don’t ruin the flow of the story!”
“Yeah, but if you have me dying, then don’t I get a say?”
“No, because you’re dead in the story.”
“….Fair enough.” She smiled, brushing off the comment and looking at Masquerade. “Oh, no! You don’t have to waste your day playing ‘bodyguard’ for us! We’re…fine!” She lied, knowing full and well they didn’t know where to go to find Iris.
“B-But someone could kill one of us!” Hermes told him, eyes widening. “O-Or someone in our family cou-could wander off and get kidnapped! I-I don’t…I don’t want that to happen!”
“Alright, but…we get to pay him in some way or anther. Um… I don’t have any cash on me now, but we’re going to eat and shop, so I could buy you something…” Ares offered, looking down at his card calmly. They weren’t rich by any means, living off the bare minimum, but he could spare a day of splurging on another being just once. Besides, he could just buy for Artemis and Hades as if they were one to make up for it.
Masquerade watched the siblings tell their “story” and quarrel amongst themselves. While he openly wasn’t a fan of kids, Firewall being one of the few exceptions, they were at least an amusing lot, weren’t they?
When their mom said that he didn’t have to be a bodyguard, which Hermes nervously protested, he gave a chuckle. Well, it’d be better than listen to the police radio all day.
And then he was offered food. Hey. Free food for showing this family around town? A good deal. He just needed to make sure he didn’t run into any of his teammates. No, this dinner was his.
“I’d take a bite to eat,” he finally spoke, “There’s nothing I could do with money. I already stick out like a sore thumb as it is. I show you around town and keep all of you safe; you guys get me some grub. A win-win situation.” He dropped his cigarette and stamped it out, deciding to stick his hands in his blue jeans pockets instead.
Apollo loudly groaned and looked back at his mom in protest. “Mom, why are we having him come with us!? He could be a total freak! What if he ends up kidnapping one of us and you don’t even know about it until we get back to the hotel!?” This, of course, caused Hermes to further bury himself into his mother’s skirt, eyes widened to the near size of saucers.
“Come now…” Aphrodite responded, flicking Apollo’s forehead. “Don’t scare your little brother like that. We’re safer with him by our side than we are with the police, right?”
“Yeah, bu—Okay, fine…” Apollo muttered, turning to look at Masquerade. “Only because the cops are dicks, but I’ve got my eye on you. One wrong move and I’ll kick your ass!”
“Yeah, like you could actually fight him…” Demeter muttered, turning around to walk down the sidewalk again.
“I could! Don’t believe me? Just watch…if he does anything, I mean!” Apollo shot back, turning to follow her where, yet again, they broke out into a fight ending with one of them yelling, “Mom!”
Aphrodite gave Masquerade an apologetic smile while Dionysus mumbled a quick apology, before they both followed after the squabbling duo, Ares and Hermes in tow.
The twins, though, stayed behind with Masquerade and began to barrage him with questions. “So where’d you get the mask?” Artemis asked, tilting her head curiously.
“Do you wear it all the time? Like…in the shower?” Hades asked as well, keeping a calm pace.
“Are you really a super hero??” They both asked in unison.
Masquerade scowled at Apollo for a moment before hearing both his and his mother’s hatred for the police. “See, squirt?” he asked Apollo, “We have something in common. You guys hate the police. I hate the police. Although, I’m unsure why you all do.”
Towing behind the family like a good “bodyguard,” Masquerade gave a stretch before noticing Artemis and Hades hanging in the back near him.
“I made it, I wear it all the time, even in the shower, and yes,” he tackled the duo’s barrage of questions, before quickly adding, “Well. More emphasis on hero than super. I can scale buildings and shit, but I’m pretty weak to bullets. I’ll put it that way.”
He paused for a second before asking, “Your family isn’t the normal tourists we see around here. I mean, especially when your names are gods of myth and such. What’s the story behind that?”

Crime Can Pay (Open RP w/ Masquerade)
“A hero? Oh! I didn’t realize, you’ll have to forgive me!” Cyan began to apologize profusely, bowing slightly. “sometimes I can be completely oblivious, you see. It just didn’t dawn on me.” they continued to express his apologies.
“If that’s the case, then I thank you for your services! Fighting crime, protecting people… what an admirable pursuit!” they accepted the notion of a hero, super or otherwise, rather readily. They didn’t find it weird, and simply agreed.
“Blue kid…. ah, I didn’t introduce myself! How rude of me- I’m Cyan. Cyan Phthalo.” they introduced themselves and smiled.
Masquerade looked over at the teen, unsure how to even reply to their polite ways. He finally said, “Don’t worry about it. Everyone else asks the same.” He waved them off with a shrug.
He nodded to their explanation. Well, they weren’t completely wrong. To Masquerade and his “crew” of sorts, crime and heroics went hand in hand.
“Admirable’s a word to put it,” he finally spoke, digging in his pockets for his lighter. He stopped for a minute when they introduced themselves.
“Masquerade,” was his reply, “Pleased as punch to meet ‘ya, Cyan.”
“Masquerade? What an interesting name!” they remarked, watching curiously as he pulled out a lighter. “It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, truly it is!” they nodded.
“What sorts of crimes do you stop? Burglars, murderers? I bet you lead quite the interesting life, sir!” Cyan noted, unable to mask their curiosity. “Oh, but am I holding you up? If you have somewhere to be, then I wouldn’t want to keep you.” they insisted sheepishly.
Masquerade gave an amused grunt. Well, they sure were friendly he had to admit. Not many people he met were. But that came with the life of heroics and crimes.
“Whoever’s sinning,” the masked man replied, “Burglary. Arson. Murder, once. Depends on who’s being a shit, honestly.”
He shook his head, “Unless you see a copper rounding the corner, I’m good. But I could ask the same of you.” He pointed at Cyan’s grocery bags.

Walking back over, keeping her hand securely around Hermes’s quivering shoulders, Aphrodite stopped next to Apollo. “What’s going on back here?” She asked, eying the smoking boy calmly. If it weren’t for the fact she and Ares smoked near the children all the time, she would have been disgusted.
“Artemis,” Apollo announced, for once glad it wasn’t his ass on the line, promptly, “Smacked him in the face with her braid. It would have done some good to get rid of that length.”
Artemis had already and obviously forgotten about smacking the cigarette right out of Masquerade’s mouth and was already staring at the mask in maxed curiosity. “Oooh, is he some kind of street performer! Do you swallow fire?? I want to see you swallow fire! Hades, do you still have you—WAIT, DAD, do you still have your lighter? I want to see this street performer swallow fire!”
“But Dad got rid of that lighter when Apollo and Demeter broke it during a spat!” Hades interjected, sliding down off his dad’s back happily. “Who is Smokey?? Is he like the personification of that American commercial we saw earlier??”
“The one about the forest fires?” Hermes asked shakily, glancing up at his older pink haired sibling.
“RIGHT! The one about the bear!”
“I hope not! He’s doing a bad job of portraying him!” Demeter shot back, glaring at Masquerade in unjustified annoyance.
“Is not!” “Not now, Apollo!” “Shut up!” “Make me!” “I’m deleting your gamefile!” “NO!”
Dionysus, having kept his calm features, momentarily sighed and smiled softly at Masquerade apologetically. “I’m sorry,” he softly spoke, placing his hands behind his back. “We’re the Petulengro family… We’re from…not here. I’m Dionysus, the two arguing are Demeter and Apollo, the one who hit your…cigarette is Artemis, the one clinging to my mother is Hermes, the other pink haired one is Hades, and the other two are our parents.” He calmly informed him, silently hoping he wasn’t a fire breather.
Masquerade watched as Aphrodite stepped forward. From what he could tell, she was the mother of the family. A quite large family at that. He listened to the group talk, as it was brought up about him being a fire breather.
“Nah,” was his simple reply to Artemis, “Wouldn’t know where to start.” However, when Hades assumed he was Smokey the Bear, he rolled his eyes behind his mask. It didn’t help when Demeter said he was doing a bad job.
“Look, br–” however, he was stopped by Dionysus’s calm voice, turning towards him, “Huh. Interesting last name. Charmed. Name’s Masquerade, and no, I’m not a fire breather or some mascot. I’m a hero.” He looked back at the family once more before giving a smirk. In a way, they reminded him of his “family.” In an odd way.
Apollo snorted loudly at Masquerade’s statement, finding that hard to believe. “Seriously? Okay, if you’re a hero, then I’m the last airbender!” He sarcastically stated, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Are you?” Artemis and Hades asked in unison, turning to their brother in almost frightening likeness, eyes twinkling in dark curiosity.
“If you are, then who is Sokka? Is Demeter Sokka?”
“No! Demeter is obviously Katara!”
“I do not preach hope and kindness!” Demeter shot back at the two, who both went and began to softly whisper to each other about how it was ‘so true’ and how they sometimes saw her ‘tearbending’ in the garden.
“….Are you, Apollo?” Hermes suddenly asked, eyes widened in terror. “I-If you are, then…then the fire nation would be trying to find you…a-and you could die!”
“Oh my Justin Beiber hatred… I was being sarcastic!” Apollo called back to them all, slapping his forehead aggressively.
“Then you’re Sokka! It makes perfect sense!” Artemis laughed, turning to Masquerade, gasping loudly. “And you must be like Prince Zuko! Are you looking for you honor? It’s probably not here… I mean, we have honor, but you can’t physically take it.”
Dionysus kept his head lowered, face in both his palms at how his family was behaving, not quite understanding how something like this even transpired. Lifting his head back up, he offered the best smile he could. “It’s nice to meet you, Mister Masquerade.”
“WAIT! If you’re a hero, then who are you going to save?? Is there a cat stuck in a—OW!” Apollo tricked to insert another sarcastic quip about not believing Masquerade before receiving a painful jab to the ribcage from Demeter who offered Masquerade a pained smile.
“So…are you from around here?”
“W-Will you lead us around safely?” Hermes asked, eyes suddenly twinkling at the thought of being around a real life here. “You’re a real hero, s-so you’ll keep us safe from muggers…a-and people who want to hurt us, right?” He almost begged him, clutching his mother’s skirt even tighter than before.
“Alright, last airbender,” Masquerade didn’t skip a beat and gave an amused, yet biting smirk at Apollo, “Defeat the fire nation for me, will ya?” If Apollo wanted to be a sarcastic brat, Masquerade would be a sarcastic brat.
He looked over at Dionysus. A quieter one. He was at least a little nicer than Apollo, who he was enjoying to see Demeter nudge in the ribs.
“Not born here, but technically raised here,” he answered Demeter before turning to Hermes. He shrugged non-chalantly.
“You’re a large group, so I’m not sure how much protecting you’d need, kid,” he let out another puff of smoke, “But sure. I’ll play bodyguard for a day. Why not?”

A burglar ran down the crowded streets of Las Vegas, a bag of cash hung over his back. They were so close to getting home free. All this money would be theirs.
Of course, they were surprised when a masked crusader jumped from the roof and landed on his back, pinning him to the ground.
“Congratulations,” he said to the burglar, “I almost lost you. Almost.” A smirk crossed his lips as the burglar groaned. Apparently Masquerade had been chasing him from the rooftops for a few minutes.
As a group of people gathered around, the police had finally arrived, handcuffing the criminal. Masquerade breathed a groan of annoyance. Right. Even if he was a hero, he was still a vigilante.
“All in a day’s work,” Masquerade noted as he stood up. He decided to find his way out of the crowd, running off.
He made it away from the police and chuckled, before accidentally slamming into someone in the road, knocking him back on his ass.
“Shit,” he breathed, before looking to the other person, “Hey. Got a concussion?”
Cyan was walking home with the groceries, as they were always the one in charge of the cooking and cleaning- after all, Wisteria was too absent-minded to do such things. They didn’t mind in the slightest thought- they loved to be helpful, and to take care of their sibling.
However, as they were making the trip home, someone slammed into them, knocking them backward and sending the contents of the grocery bags spilling out. Gasping in shocked, they jumped up to collect their items before looking to see who had run into them.
“A-are you alright?” they asked, still gathering themselves. As they stood, they adjusted their disheveled flower crown and bowtie before turning to help whoever bumped into them. Cyan held out their hand to help him up.
“That was quite a spill.” they noted calmly, gripping the grocery bag they’d recollected in one arm as the other was extended outward.
Masquerade watched the groceries spill out on the streets. Yeah, of course. It couldn’t be someone with a whole hell of nothing, right? Why wouldn’t it?
“I’ll take that as a no; no concussion,” he replied, rubbing his head, “I’m fine. A little dazed but nothin’ I can’t shake off.”
He looked up at them when they extended their hand. It might have been because Masquerade had been in Vegas for so long, but their hair color, flower crown, and clothes weren’t all that surprising.
He held up his hand in a “I’ve got this” motion; wanting to stand up by himself but not necessarily causing a scene either. Standing up and brushing his brown hair out of his face he said, “When you’ve gotta run, you’ve gotta run.”
He gave a grunt in muse before asking, “You don’t see many people dressed like you out getting groceries. I’m guessing you’re not an act or something, are you?”
Cyan withdrew their hand when Masquerade insisted on getting up by himself. Cyan gave a nod, watching as he stood up quickly. “Oh, I see. And no, no concussion in the slightest- thank you for asking, though.” Cyan verified.
“An act…?” they looked down, and nodded. People were a bit confused by their appearance, though Cyan was used to it by this point. “Oh, no. My sister just thinks blue is my color- it makes her happy that I wear blue, and it’s my favorite color anyways.” Cyan explained briefly, giving a smile. “She tends to go a bit overboard, but it’s cute.” they added, pointing to the flower crown and laughing slightly. “Though have an interesting appearance as well, if I may say so.” they noted. “Is it just your sense of fashion?” they asked curiously.
Masquerade gave a nod to Cyan, as he fixed his neckerchief, “Good. Hell knows I wouldn’t be able to pay for your medical bills if you did.”
The masked man’s expression didn’t change when Cyan explained why they were dressed the way they did, “So... Basically, blue. That’s the reason you’re dressed that way.” He mused for a minute before nodding, “Okay. I can buy that. If she likes you in blue and you like blue, can’t argue with that logic. Wouldn’t be sure how to.”
He fell silent for a minute, “...Isn’t it obvious, blue kid? I’m a superhero. Well. More emphasis on hero than super, I suppose.”

Somewhere Over the Rainbow ((Open RP w/ Artemis and Family))
(AU where Artemis still lives with her family)
A young woman with large eyes slowly made her way down the road, hands carefully balancing four rather heavy looking bags. Beside her strode a small boy, who looked barely a teenager and clung to her skirt nervously. In his free hand were two bags that looked much lighter than the ones his mother next to him carried.
“Do you think we’ll make it home okay..?” The smaller boy asked his mother nervously, hand gripping her skirt tightly.
“Of course, Hermes,” she softly spoke out, reaching down and ruffling his hair as best she could with her bags.
Behind them walked a tall man who was carrying a pink haired boy on his back, hands also filled with groceries. Next to him were two siblings, shoving at each other in the upmost annoyance.
“STOP!” “Make me!” “Mom, Apollo won’t leave me alone!” “Because you took my DS!” “I did not!” “You did too!” “So what?! You don’t even like Pokemon!” “So you do admit it?!” “NO!”
The arguing almost went completely unheard by the entire family as they peacefully strolled down the streets, enjoying the rather sunny skies above them.
The long-haired boy, Apollo, fell back in almost a pout and began to walk next to the other pink haired child, who was distracted by the sight of a butterfly in the distance. “Artemis, Demeter’s being a real W-I-T–!”
“Don’t compare me to witches!” Demeter shot back, turning around with a loud huff. “You should be happy that I don’t just delete your stupid game file!”
“YOU WOULDN’T!”
“Oh, I would!”
“Moooommmmm!”
As the two fought each other, the last child who’d taken interest in some freshly baked pastry goods, shot his head up, rushing over to join the group, stopping next to Apollo and Artemis happily, adjusting his beanie on his scalp in the process.
“I saw some delicious goods; we should stop and purchase some,” he softly mumbled, receiving attention from the two bickering siblings and Artemis.
“Mm…It is almost Father’s Day, right?” Artemis noted, smile growing as if she’d seen this coming. “I sense…an amazing day ahead of us.” She sang out, feet suddenly springing on their tip toes as she spun around.
Although she did so with almost expert precision, her unimaginably long braid swung back, smacking someone dead in the face, causing the entire family to stop in their tracks.
“O-Oh my gosh!” Demeter quickly rushed over to the poor person, unsure of what to exactly say, as Dionysus quickly bowed.
“Sorry!” Apollo spoke out, nudging Artemis who quickly nodded along, eyes widened.
It wasn’t often that Masquerade left the bright lights of Viva Las Vegas. But every once in a while, he needed a break from the hustle, bustle, and crime. Knowing the area like the back of his glove, he watched tourists make their way out of the town, some walking, some driving to places outside of the city.
A hood over his head to obscure his mask, he found himself walking behind a family. Arguing? How... nice. Pulling his lighter out of his pocket alongside a cigarette, he lit it and blew out a small stream of smoke.
Before he knew it however, a braid had smacked the cigarette out of his mouth and into the street, knocking his hood backwards in surprise.
The masked vigilante stared at the family from the pin-prick holes in his mask as they apologized. He stamped out the cigarette on the ground and just pulled another one out, lighting it and taking a huff.
“No harm done,” he nodded to the girl who had rushed over to him, supposedly paying no heed to Apollo and Artemis, “Be grateful that her braid didn’t catch on fire from my cig. That would have sucked, I’m sure.” They were a strange family, he noted. Tourists? Travelers?
I need a cigarette and a gf
Always in the Last Place You Look
It's Always in the Last Place You Look: What's something you seem to lose a lot?
"Shoes," Masquerade groaned, "When you parkour from building to building, you always lose shoes. Then I have to root around in the trash for a new pair."
"...You have no idea how many people throw away perfectly good shoes," he added with a laugh, "Although, I wish more were size 12. If you have any size 12's you don't want, gimme."
As Follows, Could Be Worse
As Follows...: Are you a leader or a follower?
"Neither," Masquerade was blunt, "Don't give a damn if anybody follows me, but if I think a leader's decision is wrong, then I'm gonna handle it my own way."
Could Be Worse: what's a situation you've been in where you thought "it can't possibly get worse than this" ... And then it did?
"My ancestors probably thought the English invading their home couldn't have got worse and then they got slaughtered," Masquerade vaguely answered the question, "I've been through the same thing, only it was someone from my own race that did it."
