Stir Crazy || BoJack
âOkay,â Bo said, his face lighting up, âthat sounds good.â A quick wardrobe change later and the men were off, Bo hiding the bruises behind dark shades and layers of clothing. They chose a noodle house with an outside bar for eating so Bo could keep his glasses on and not be stared at, but it also left him feeling exposed, with his back to the crowd. He knew he was overreacting (probably?) but he couldnât help it. Heâd been sure he was going to die that day, until he ran into Jack. Even with his friend there, he felt insecure.
He wondered, fleetingly, how long it would take for him to feel normal again. Perhaps heâd have to leave Hong Kong?
Slurping his noodles loudly, Bo lifted from his hunched position over the bowl, leaning backward on his stool and looking off down one direction of the street as he sucked in the stragglers.Â
âI need⊠something to take the edge off, Jackie,â Bo said, using the nickname for the first time without really thinking. âBooze, drugs, something⊠I do not think I can stand another sleepless night.â He turned to look at his friend, lifting an eyebrow. âYou got any suggestions?â
Luckily Jackâs wardrobe had a lot of different kind of clothes so it was easy to pick up fitting ones for Bo. Jack was actually pretty proud of how they got Bo to look like. The perfect disguise.
Jack just pulled on a clean shirt, a beanie and sunglasses, grabbed his keys and wallet and headed out with Bo. Just in case he walked rather close to Bo so he could grab the other if he felt wobbly with walking or so. It would be less embarrassing to be held up than flopping down face first. Luckily they werenât heading far away and the way to the noodle kitchen went all fine.
During his time in Hong Kong Jack had finally learned the art of chopsticks and now he didnât ever ask for fork anymore like he used to in the beginning. And he felt terrible every time he asked for the fork, but he wanted to eat his food and since there was no way he would manage to eat anything with two sticks the only way of eating was a fork. But now he didnât have to worry about it anymore since he wasnât such  tourist anymore.
Jack looked at Bo and raised his brow as he chew his noodles. He hummed a bit as he thought about it, not that he truly needed to think, but he had to make some sort of noise to let Bo know he was listening and would give an answer once his mouth was empty.
âBoozeâ, he replied after swallowing. âDonât touch the other shit. Theyâll just make you go nuts and act like youâre five again. So if you have to take something, pick alcohol. Though even better option than alcohol is sex. But you are in no shape for such.â
