Stir Crazy || BoJack
Maybe Bo thought Jack hadnât noticed what had happened on that one specific morning, but Jack really didnât care if someone used him as a pillow â naked or not â so there really was nothing weird in that. So he never brought the topic up in general anyway. They could talk about it later if Bo felt like it, but if o didnât want to talk that was completely fine for Jack.
Jack hadnât really let Bo leave the house for the manâs own health since he really was in no shape to survive on his own. Just like Jack had guessed Bo had been high, though he hadnât asked what the other had been taking, but the withdrawals had been rather heavy ones, so it couldnât be just some kids stuff. Plus Bo was still bruised after his chasers so Jack had been keeping an eye on his friend.
Of course he had gone to work time to time, but most of the time he had been keeping company to Bo. Or well, made sure the other had food to eat and so on. But now Jack had a day off so he was sitting sideways in his armchair while reading some random comic. He glanced at the Asian by his window and then looked at the clock.
âWe could go and eat somewhere?â he suggested and raised his brow a bit. Soon theyâd get hungry anyway so getting something to eat would be a good idea. âWeâll put you wear my clothes and no one will pay much attention to you.â If theyâd add beanie and sunglasses itâd be even better way to make Bo disappear in the crowd since without those youâd see his eyes and bruises and all and that if anything would make people pay attention on Bo.
âOkay,â Bo said, his face lighting up, âthat sounds good.â A quick wardrobe change later and the men were off, Bo hiding the bruises behind dark shades and layers of clothing. They chose a noodle house with an outside bar for eating so Bo could keep his glasses on and not be stared at, but it also left him feeling exposed, with his back to the crowd. He knew he was overreacting (probably?) but he couldnât help it. Heâd been sure he was going to die that day, until he ran into Jack. Even with his friend there, he felt insecure.
He wondered, fleetingly, how long it would take for him to feel normal again. Perhaps heâd have to leave Hong Kong?
Slurping his noodles loudly, Bo lifted from his hunched position over the bowl, leaning backward on his stool and looking off down one direction of the street as he sucked in the stragglers.Â
âI need... something to take the edge off, Jackie,â Bo said, using the nickname for the first time without really thinking. âBooze, drugs, something... I do not think I can stand another sleepless night.â He turned to look at his friend, lifting an eyebrow. âYou got any suggestions?â
