Happy Birthday to Gene Wilder (born Jerome Silberman; June 11, 1933 – August 29, 2016) was an American actor, author, comedian, writer and filmmaker. I Have Shingles

Anyone ever get shingles here? I've had them for about a week and they're so itchy. My arm looks someone whipped me.

Apparently, they're very contagious especially for people who haven't had chicken pox before like my husband, JD.

I've been avoiding coming into close contact with JD as well as my 95-year-old dad. I miss my dad. He's supposed to come for Scrabble and dinner on Fridays and I couldn't have him last week and I can't have him this week.

When asked, my doctor said they could be gone in a few days (not), a few weeks or a few months! If it lasts for months, does that mean I can't participate in my regular activities, e.g. exercise classes, socializing with friends for months? Gosh, I sure hope not. I'm already going stir-crazy.
