Of course she would come up with the most logical and practical
of questions. Of course she would. It brought a small smile to his
face, one that he did not bother fighting. Ray had to think on it for
a few minutes before he could properly answer her. The timeframe
had to be realistic - not too long that it seemed as though he was
simply humouring Gideon, and not too short that neither one of
them would really be adjusted to their situations.
“How about two weeks? We talk in two weeks,
first about whether we feel like we’re used to
our new situations. If yes, then we talk then and
there. If no, then we discuss how long more we
want to wait till we have this conversation?”
That seemed to be a decent timeframe. While Ray still thought
Gideon would have changed her mind - would change her mind
within the next couple of days - on the off-chance that she did not,
two weeks was a good time for them to talk about this. In the
meantime, he hoped they would still be able to hang out as per
usual. He would hate to lose her company and friendship.
Two week’s sounded good, it wasn’t really that long
of a time to someone who had lived centuries as an
AI before being somehow gaining a human form. B-
ut it also felt like a good amount of time, seeing as
she was sure she’d never actually be entirely used
to the fact that she was human now. It’d been a few
months at this point, after all, it was something she
was just going to have to continue getting used to p-
robably until the end.
“I think two weeks sounds good.”
