“Had a trail before I was captured…” One that likely would have gone cold if they were at all smart about how they were doing this. “And it’s complicated.” He wasn’t sure he wanted to get into it right this moment that he had turned into a real asshole after Neverland that had pushed Emma into putting their son up for adoption. “Adopted mother and his birth mother. Both of whom have magic.” And hopefully a way out of here though he was sure Emma was going to be surprised to see him alive to say the least.
Wendy had a good point however. The island would listen to Henry perhaps even better than Pan now, allowing them to end up right where they wanted to be. “He might still try to block us, but… It’s a good idea. Let’s just get out of this doll’s house and you lead the way.” At least then he could keep an eye on them and between him and Wendy they knew every danger to avoid along the way.

“Yup, adoptive and birth mother,” Henry agreed with his father. They didn’t really have time to explain more now, but he wouldn’t mind telling Wendy more later, after they’d defeated Pan.
“So, all I have to do is believe we’re headed in the right direction?” That sounded almost too easy. He could do that in his sleep. “Alright then, let’s go!” If it was this easy, he couldn’t help but wonder why Wendy was so worried about what Pan would do to her and her brothers. It wasn’t going to take much work at all for Henry to believe that they were as safe as possible. Surely, that would help a lot.
Henry lead the way out of the tree house, and stood at the entrance, looking around a bit before picking a direction. “I believe this is the right way,” he said, grinning as he stared down what was the path toward Emma. He believed it was, and here that meant it must be true.

Wendy momentarily wondered on the nature of what was going on with Henry’s family but it was true they didn’t really have time to think on it. Not if they were going to get away from Pan, they needed to focus on believing.
“With all your heart, and don’t let in even the shadow of doubt.” Wendy told him following after Henry. They couldn’t doubt, Pan would pray on that. She trusted in the power of the truest believer, he would be able to find what they needed.
She kept her pain to herself, her little bare feet against the rocks. If she complained Bae would carry her, she was sure of that. She just didn’t to deal with any of that right now. She’d had more than one walk through the woods with bloody feet.
