Why Mother Gothel isn’t too bad

After watching Tangled you probably don’t really like mother Gothel and you think she’s one of the worst disney villains to ever exist, although she isn’t even that bad and here’s why:

When the guards took Gothel’s flower, the flower that kept her alive for centuries, so she’s really old, but she didn’t even try to fight them, she let them take the flower, but that didn’t stop her from trying to find where it was. As soon as she found out that the magic golden flower was already in this infant’s hair she was scared.

 She, at first, didn’t want to steal the baby so she thought maybe if she cut a piece of Rapunzel’s hair it will be enough for Gothel to have for centuries, unfortunately after she chopped of Rapunzel’s hair she started dying.

Gothel didn’t want to die, she probably felt bad from stealing the baby, but it was the only way she could live, she didn’t murder the king and queen she only took their baby, she knew that would leave them sad, but it wouldn’t kill them.

Years passed and she didn’t feel as bad about stealing Rapunzel, she raised Raupunzel to become a healthy 18 year old. She wanted to keep Rapunzel safe, she didn’t want anyone to steal Rapunzel away from her, and she also tried quite hard to keep Rapunzel happy in her tower so she bought her paint.

Gothel isn’t too bad although she did try to kill Flynn Rider because she is selfish. *celebration noise thing*
