What she means: when Vince Noir tells Howard Moon that he's "got to stop falling for people who show [him] the slightest bit of affection" that was the single most kind and genuine moment in the entire three series show because it was Vince, usually so carefree and unworried about what happens to other people, the man who let Howard be shackled in The Desert of Nightmares, who bit into the Howling Jimmy Jefferson vinyl because everyone was yelling and he felt overwhelmed, it was Vince finally showing how much he DOES care for Howard and that he doesn't like it when Howard gets hurt and he wants to protect him from the pain of rejection, even though he doesn't actually reject him but instead assumes he will, someday, hurt Howard too much
