“Today’s a special day, Eric.”
“...I know that this day is the anniversary of... Him and all. When everything truly started.”
“Well, yes. I am barely surprised that you remember. But, there’s something else. I found him.”
“Y.... You... You what?” Eric could barely fathom the idea of seeing... Him again. Schoolhouse chuckled.
“It is him. It’s... Well, simply put, see for yourself.”
With a snap of his fingers, a little... Orb was suddenly on the table in front of them. It was tiny, but it certainly had... Baldi features. It was... Odd, to say the very least.
“Ubwah?” It squeaked out, puzzled. Schoolhouse produced the box that held the ruler and handed it to Eric. Eric let out a flabbergasted noise.
“Are you... Not to question your authority, founder, but are you absolutely sure that... This is him?”
Schoolhouse stared at Eric for the longest time. Eric shuddered and hesitantly got out the ruler.
“My word is always true, Eric.” He stared at the orb with an odd amount of hatred. The tiny creature let out a whimper at this, and shuddered. “...Even if it somehow wasn’t, you cannot deny that its features are similar to that abomination, correct? Just get this over with. Then you can go back to the school I granted to you.”
Eric stared at the puzzled and somewhat scared little orb. It... Had that Baldi vibe to it, yes. But it just felt... Wrong. Killing a child? It just... Didn’t settle well with him.
“...You’re... sure of this, r--”
“Just kill him already.”
Schoolhouse cut him off, harshly. It was obvious that he would’ve done it himself if he could even wield that god-killing ruler. Eric sighed, deeply. He approached the orb, who made kissy noises up at him.
“...Alright.”
...
...
“...”
The motion was silent, swift, and made with no yelling, no abrupt monologues about how much of a shitty person Schoolhouse was. Just. A swift, deep, impaling stab to the chest. The god didn’t bleed. He didn’t feel pain. Yet he fell to his knees, shaking.
“A... A... After all I did for yo--”
“Shut up.” Eric snarled, twisting the ruler to gradually finish the god off. “You just gave us gifts in return of our silence. Do I like the school? Yes. Does Emma like the crows? Yes. But when you ask me to kill a harmless child just because you hate your own son that much... You’re no god of mine.”
With that, in a similar way he had killed his son, there was an upwards cut. The elder god screeched as it was suddenly lights out for it. Swift. No fanfare. With that, Eric felt a terrible weight fall off of him. Had he become... Numb to it? Already? He turned away from the... Oddly indifferent orb and the body of his ‘founder’, and waited. Nothing happened. His school didn’t disappear. He didn’t suddenly die. He felt no disturbance. He turned back around.
“...Okay, time to get you back to--”
He blinked. Where. Where was Schoolhouses body. The orb child licked its lips and blinked at him.
“What’s going oooon?” It awkwardly spoke.
“...Nothing.Come on. I’ll send you back home, where you belong. Forget this ever happened.” Eric said, putting the ruler away.
“Just forget that any of this happened.”
