Pastry bite in her mouth, it might not have been the right time to answer. So she nodded, some ‘mmfhmmf’ as a result muffling through. A swig of her coffee a breath later, and she nods again when she speaks, clearly battling with some remaining crumbs and bits in the back of her teeth.
