The next went by without much thought going into what would soon come. Perhaps this was out of pure disbelief, but even as she spent the morning buying sugary treats with her cousins and looking at the newest broom polish with her teammates, little to no thought was going towards her plans edging closer. This was of course until the few minutes before when she told her friends it was time for her to head back to the caste, only to slip into the three broomsticks instead. Why she felt the need to hide this from her family and friends was beyond her, but really she didn’t want to her the questions. The two were not enemies, yet they were not friends. Each other’s nuisances to say the least, always competing or jesting at each other but never taking the time to be anything more or less than that. Still she appeared in that doorway, one arm covered in bags from places she had been, and the other hand pushing down her collar, no longer in the cold. ❛ – Hello❜ That seemed to be the only word she could think to say in that moment as she seated herself, back turned away form the rest of the room and eyes on the fire.
Noticing how her eyes avoiding his own, Scorpius merely pursed his lips into a flat smile and nodded at her as his greeting.
“Good afternoon, Weasley.” He replied, his manners minded as he stood up and pulled out a stool for her to sit at.
“Bought you a butterbeer, assuming you like it—it’s still quite warm.”
Sliding the tankard over to Rose, he glanced down at the bags she had on her arm, his brow raising as it was quite a lot of them.
“Buy anything special?”
