THE USUAL ATTITUDE, THE USUAL jester coming from the older and always leaving the younger one in his cloak of apparent fragility –not fearing the other for the relationship he allegedly started according to the telltales Dispatch and the netizens were spreading even more than wildfire.  Jiho had the chance to listen to the songs that were in his mixtape. Songs in a more or less early stage, but he already listened to them. Except that one. That last one ( ironic, since the title is really ‘the last’ ).

« Mixtape history? Now you’re barking way too much. »  He’d observe, door closing behind him, unfazed by the way Jiho was already way too comfortable in his house. « You’re just visiting me way too early than the usual, and that means you have something in mind. »

It’s not as though Jiho is surprised. Well, not really at least. He’s always known, in a way, what really went on in the younger’s head. He knew him at the lowest of lows and watched him develop into the success he currently was, if that’s what Yoongi would call it. He’s seen him unravel and break in the most private of affairs and inner struggles, in ways that likely no one else could witness aside from the older rapper. What does surprise him is not the subject of the track, but the fact that it was actually released, the fact that Yoongi didn’t show it to him like he did the others. Why hide from him, yet reveal to the world? It sounded so ironic, as it was usually the other way around. 

Way too early? He’s been there earlier. Of course, those are times when he’s actually spent the night there, but he digresses. “Stop talking. Come here.” He says simply, demeanor grown serious as though his humor and attitude were on break for the moment. “What do you think I have in mind? Wanna tell me something?”

He just needed a singer for vocals. That’s all he asked, and they just had to pick someone he couldn’t stand. Regardless of the singer’s popularity, Jiho found it incredibly difficult to work with them as they were always at odds it seems. They can’t exactly back out now though, the press has already heard about them featuring in his song so they’d have a field day with rumors in knowing they backed out. “Look, this is business, you don’t have to like me to feature on a damn track.”

« What…are you doing here? » Small hint of stupor on tired voice –surely not expecting the other rapper to be there. Well, not that soon, at least. And not with that way too melancholic ( for Woo Jiho’s standards, of course ) expression all over the  other’s face.

« What,Jiho, does that burn? Want me to kiss that better? » Sneer on his lips and he’s amused, trying not to think about how weird the other looked all prim and proper, with baby azure suit, that red bow breaking the pastely sea and slicked hair dyed with a shade of dark grey ( almost matching his silvery blond ) he actually thought fitting the complexion of the rapper.  He missed the other, not gonna lie –he’d wonder sometimes how he was faring, before being engulfed by the schedules his world would not even gently offer ( or more of a ‘shoving right into his mouth’ kind of thing ) to his person.

THE SNEER WOULD EASILY TURN into a smile, though. Perhaps, the other’s presence could have been a nice way to make something so bothersome and boring into something more enjoyable. Or perhaps because lately, faking smiles has been something he’s been doing for days, weeks, or even months if he had to be actually precise.

« Well. it’s so boring here, where is the lie, honestly. » Retorting was easily –his entire life was made in great part as a retort to the older, to provoke and pinch the other’s nerves for a reaction, because it somehow was able to make him feel alive. “Right here, in public babe?” He jokes, cocking a brow as if he dare push him in that direction because he wasn’t opposed to dragging Yoongi out of sight if prompted, possibly making up for lost time... and that was a lot of lost time to make up for. He wants to make said offer, actually, it sounds extremely tempting. How much longer did Yoongi even have to stick around here for? Jiho wasn’t obligated, he’s made his appearance and it was good enough. 

“Looks that way, my absence must’ve really fucked up your personal life. What’d you do in your free time, stare at walls for fun?” The elder mocks, before hearing mention of his trip. Los Angeles was nice, he’ll admit, but as much as he’d deny titling it this Seoul was still home. “Yeah, it really was something. Me and Dean ripped that stage apart.” Small smirk at the mention of the other, debating on teasing but then again he could always use that as ammo another time. “Definitely boosted my ego.” 

It doesn’t take long for Jiho to deem it long enough, leaning in a bit closer and murmuring near Yoongi’s ear. “So... Wanna get out of here..? I’m exhausted and in need of a smoke. And I want out of this suit. And possibly you out of yours.” That last part wasn’t a mistake, in fact he smirks a little to himself after it’s said, simply pulling back to shove hands into his pockets.

“I will literally beat you if you don’t shut the fucking lights and shut the fuck up.” He growls from under his bed comforter, tugging his pillow over his head and groaning when Yoongi still doesn’t do as told, yup he’s trying to smother himself now. “I’m going to fucking kill you, it’s too goddamn early for this shit.”

“ahu, okay. i feel your sarcasm, tone it down a bit before my heart aches.” she rolls her eyes before clutching at her chest, dramatically throwing her head back in her seat. she laughs before she sits up yet again, throwing him finger guns and then nodding. “squeals? from me? no no, i would lose my dignity if i squealed. but yeah, yeah. must’ve been the other girls in the competition.. say. it’s been a while since we were all in the same room, huh? i mean, the girls and i.  no wonder you have that last name.. you like to woo people. oh. i also heard i was your favorite, is that true?” jidam chuckles, now picking her legs up and resting it on the coffee table nearby. “diss track.. sounds fun.only diss tracks i have are yet to be released, and it really isn’t to anybody. so, i’ve only dissed myself? i guess you can say that. but anyways, i’m growing as a rapper and i’m growing, literally!” she then stands up, stretching as high as she could go before sitting back down. “ouhh.. the famous zi-ah-co producing another one of my tracks? and it’s a diss track? i’m down.”

Well that’s a question he didn’t expect. It took him a moment to think back to when he’d gone in to judge, what his real thoughts were... “Come to think of it, Jessi was my favorite before I went in, honestly. Just based on reputation. But then when I did go in and meet you all... Clearly you were the one who won me over. Otherwise I wouldn’t still be in contact with you like this.” He gives a lazy half smile, and nods at the mention of her unreleased content, thinking that it was good she had some stored away, it could come in handy. “Well you should take a look at your old stuff, maybe use a few bars from there in this one if you get stuck or feel like it needs more. Also? Don’t diss yourself. Not that it doesn’t happen, but if you’re writing a diss track about someone else, doing it to yourself in the same song is counterproductive, makes your audience forget who they’re rooting for. Focus on tearing the opposite down instead.” Sitting back he thinks more into it, before scoffing a laugh. “Yeah, yeah. Don’t get too used to it, I just figured I haven’t put anything out in a while and I do remember how well you worked int he studio the first time around. Congrats, you have Zi-ah-co on board your diss track.”

EVENTS WERE EVENTS, SCHEDULE WAS schedule, there was pretty much nothing he could do about it –not when there was hype for a tape to build, not when he needed to keep his mind busy and away from dark places even if that meant being well dressed when arriving and walking through a red carpet feigning a confidence that was ghost of the original one oozing from his eyes and lips.

And to him, movie premieres like that one –one that had his music plastered in it, a sequence of samples and soft raps,with the typical raspiness in the voice known to belong by Min Suga– was work, nothing more nothing less. Only work could heal him, or so he liked to believe it.

Yet his eyes widened with surprise when a familiar figure was suddenly next to him –a sequence of way too familiar movements his brain still didn’t forget despite all ( how could he forget something this lascivious, something so amoral and rough, something that technically only belonged to them and them alone? he wouldn’t –he can try but he cannot, his body cannot ). That sly fox. « What are you doing here? » Soft gasp, eyes glancing up to the crowd, daring a small forced smile and a wave once again before moving back to the taller, older and way too elegantly dressed man –a man he’s more used to see with a careless and more deranged set of looks that fit him way better.

As always, Jiho finds himself getting a kick out of the shocked expression. It’s clear that it wasn’t expected, the rapper hadn’t exactly tipped off anyone that he’d be back in town tonight, but that was the beauty of it, the element of surprise--or was it just him being an asshole? More likely. “You seem so excited to be here.” The elder notes, obviously sarcastic because Jiho could clearly tell otherwise. A month’s flown by but it’s as if nothing’s changed, his remarks are still as cocky as ever and he still finds no difference in Yoongi either. Aside from his hair, but then again that’s never stayed one color for very long regardless. 

Raising a brow at the question he simply smirks, head tilting to the side. “What, you didn’t wanna see me when I got back? I’m hurt, Yoong. Wow.” Small pause is given to allow Yoongi a chance to wave at the crowd, and the taller shoves his hands into his pockets. He doesn’t like the suit he’s in, it’s starting to get to him but he’d manage; at least there wasn’t a tie involved. “Knew you’d be here, figured why not. I got back from LA a few hours ago.”

They were young. If one were to ask Jiho whether or not he remembers their first kiss, he would lie. He’d say he doesn’t remember what he had for breakfast to brush it off as a joke, but in reality it’s not something he can easily forget. 

He meets Sooyoung at one of her family’s events. Obviously he wasn’t invited, but they didn’t know that, and she could tell. As it was clear that no one boring enough to be involved with her family’s parties would charm her as well as he did that night. Usually one would get a party crasher thrown out, but she didn’t, if anything she was more intrigued with the flirtatious delinquent, pretending that she knew him to keep any suspicion down. “You shouldn’t be following me,” He snorts, glancing back over his shoulder when he senses her presence outside after he’s left oh so discrete; he met with who he needed to, got the information he needed, he didn’t need to be there anymore, didn’t want to be there anymore. But then again neither did she. 

Zico isn’t easily charmed. He flirts, he’s fooled around, but he doesn’t let women push him around. But that first night with Sooyoung, he did something he’d never let any woman do. He brought her along on the job he was handling. She was curious, and now it was his turn to be intrigued on why a priss like her would want a part in any of this. As it turned out, she was about as wild at heart as he was. And that caught his interest. “I think we’ve lost them.” He pants once their running comes to a stop, looking back again to make sure that the chase had officially come to a halt and that they were in fact in the clear. “I should get you back home, your parents aren’t gonna be happy after you snuck out of the party and still haven’t shown up at…” He paused, taking a glance at his phone and holding back a scoffed laugh. 3am. Figures. 

It must’ve been the adrenaline rush, Zico tells himself today, but back then Jiho could feel his heart beat stress around her. Kissing a girl at the door is so cliche, Jiho would never admit to it. But at her window… that was different, wasn’t it? Especially when he’d gotten as far along as he did, it wasn’t a simple peck like some teen romance, he was never too gentle. And it’s refreshing to find that she wasn’t, either, grabbing onto his collar like a life line when their lips moves against one another vigorously, his hands fisted in her hair and mind clouding in thoughts of how much more he could get away with by just climbing over the stupid window sill… but no, he had to get going. He knows her parents already hate him probably, for keeping her out, so getting caught in her room wouldn’t be very safe when dealing with a mafia boss. “You’ll see me again. Somehow.” He has to break the kiss, catching his breath as he took a last look at her, smirking at the sight before pulling back completely to climb back down and get out before anyone would catch him.

A month away isn’t much, but it’s enough to get Jiho riled up. Enough to get him unable to wait another moment. The last thing anyone would want to do after finally getting back to their apartment, would be to get all dressed up for some event that in reality, said person wouldn’t give a shit about. But again, he can’t wait another moment, and so that’s how he’s ended up here, at this premiere that he knew the other would be present for. He was never a fan of suits or ties, but he’s never minded the camera flashes that came along with it, they fueled his much too big ego if anything. It doesn’t take long to locate Yoongi, thankfully off of the carpet and somewhere a little more discrete... but not out of sight like desired. No where was out of sight here, it was all reporters and cameras and other artists, but he takes the quick shot he has when spotting the boy alone at last, walking up behind him slowly and waiting for a glance to come his way. “Miss me?”
