Amy was sarcastic and blunt and she certainly isn’t shy about it. If you talk to her in a sarcastic tone, do expect the equal reaction or even more. She’ll do anything to throw people off and push them to their limits. She rolled her eyes when he finally gave her the answer that she wanted and shook her head some. “Was it that hard to answer like a normal, huh?” She flicked his ear, scrunching up her nose. “Aish…” It was just a random question and she just wanted to make sure that his name on her phone contacts was spelled correctly. “Like I said, I signed you up for a pornographic magazine. And you’re welcome in advance. This is going to be a big break for you.— Excuse you? Why? Like.. Why would I even do pick up line on you?”

“It was impossibly hard, yes,” he replied, maintaining the same level of sarcasm in his tone. Still not getting an answer, he finally decided to ignore his own curiosity and play along, finding the joke far more interesting than her needing clarification on the spelling of his name. “I’m only thanking you if you got Penthouse. Otherwise, I won’t be impressed.” Derrick withheld a snicker at her final question, shrugging his shoulders with indifference. “’Cause these days they seem to consist of stupid puns. What way to get to know someone better than to annoy them with a witty play on words.”

Hari was the type of person who was addicted to food, usually if there were no cameras about she would be stuffing her face with some kind of food. The bag of chips he was reffering too was just left on a table unopened and since Hari hadn’t eaten yet today, she swiped them and began to eat them for herself. “Well to do that you’d have to break into Dessert’s dorm… That would be fun front page news wouldn’t it? ‘CO:HRT’s main vocalist is a pervert who breaks into fellow label mates dorms’,” she chuckles at the thought before handing him back the bag of chips, “buy me food then.”

He snorted, his upper lip rising as he sneered. “You think I won’t do it just because it might end up on the news? Most people should already know I’m a pervert. It’ll just solidify my image. What’s wrong with that?” She had a point, whether he pretended the consequences didn’t bother him or not. Fortunately for her, and the rest of Dessert’s members, he valued his career more than exacting revenge for something so trivial. Taking the bag of chips back, he popped one of the crisps into his mouth and chuckled. “What do you wanna eat?”

He frowned slightly. The last thing he wanted was for people to think that he legitimately listened to Red Velvet. The best thing would probably have been to preface his question with some sort of qualifier. “Part of my eval is to do girl group dances.” Fans liked that sort of thing, it was important for him to show a knowledge of them if he ever wanted to debut. He sighed softly and looked up at Derrick again. “There’s normally a copy of the CD in the practice room so I don’t have to spend any money on it.”

Derrick’s brows rose when he listened to the other’s reasoning. It was a valid excuse. He had been forced to do something similar in the past as well. Yet, it still wouldn’t be enough to stop him from teasing the trainee. For now, however, he put his constant urge to mock those around him on hold, seeing Myungbak’s desire to debut as being off limits for now. “I don’t know where the CD is, but,” he paused, pulling his phone out from within his back pocket, thumb swiping quickly over the touch screen. “I can buy the album and you can just plug my phone in with the aux cord.” Doing exactly what he explained he would, Derrick offered him the phone, Red Velvet’s album displayed for him and ready to go.”

"Is what you told them true?"

He snorted almost immediately after she asked the question. Both being idols, they knew the truth wasn’t always what should be shared with the general public. For someone like Derrick, this was no struggle. While he preferred to be honest and upfront about things, lying in interviews in order to keep his job was something he now considered to be a strange sort of talent. “Of course not,” he replied, head shaking with a small look of disbelief creeping onto his features. “You really think I get along with everyone in my group? Even if I did, I wouldn’t openly admit to that the way I did.”

His brows furrows and eyes narrowed in on her when she refused to stop taking his chips from the bag he bought. He wasn’t stingy when it came to money, no, the irritation he felt by her actions were simply caused by the fact he was selfish and what his was his. “If you don’t cut it out, I’m gonna shove one of these chips up your nose when you sleep,” he threatened, although it was never clear whether he was being serious or not. “If you want food, just ask and I’ll buy you some. Or does it taste better because you stole it?”

[/he shrugged, unsure himself why he would have divulged such information to him, but he didn’t seem to mind, either.] I’ve got trust issues and my therapist said I should work on it. [/he was lying, the deadpan expression on his face not quick to give it away.] I doubt you’ll be able to do much damage knowing where I keep my money anyway. I’ve got plenty in the bank as it is.

He had a big mouth, and he knew it. Embarrassing others was somewhat of a pastime for him. Naturally, she was no exception. Derrick sneered over at her before feigning mild surprise at her reaction to his words. “What? Are you serious? You don’t think everyone should know you get inspiration from watching Lifetime movies?” He let out an exaggerated breath, shaking his head once while he attempted to maintain the facade. “Come on, no one is gonna fault you for that. I mean, the entire channel is geared towards sensitive women anyway.”

"Why? Well--- I'm signing you up for a graphic advertisement and all you have to do is to be naked...-- No, seriously. I'm just trying to be a normal person and ask you how to spell your name. It's like I'm asking for your credit card number."

This girl was something else. But he appreciated the sarcasm; perhaps a little too much. It was similar to his own sense of humor: dry and often misunderstood by those unfamiliar with who he was as a person. Not that he minded one way or another. While he expected others not to be easily offended, he, too, wasn’t one to shy away from someone who offered their own outlandish comments. Derrick chuckled faintly and slowly nodded his head, “It’s got two ‘r’s.” Although she had a point, that her question wasn’t meant to be one to garner suspicion on his end, he was still wondering why she needed to know. Was it out of sheer curiosity? “Seriously, why do you need to know? This isn’t some beginning to a weird pickup line, is it?”

"Have you seen the Red Velvet CD? It's normally in the practice room but it's not there today."

“Excuse me?” Derrick stared over at him, wondering both why he would own a Red Velvet CD as well as why it would be in the practice room. Always quick to judge others, he constantly assumed everyone who used the practice rooms would be listening to music that was related to their known genre of music. After taking his time silently questioning the other male, he realized they were a trainee. Somehow, that made the inquiry less strange in his eyes. “No. Why? Did you lose your copy of it?”

"Where did you get that?"

A straw between his lips, Derrick continued to sip on the small drink with a mischievous look on his face. He wasn’t sure if she knew where he had taken the drink from. Taken being the key word here. Stealing wasn’t a habit of his; no, if he wanted something, he usually bought it for himself. The milk in his hands, however, he stumbled upon in one of the countless refrigerators in TQ building. “I took it from the same place I saw you put it. Not that it’s yours or anything.” Truthfully, he had no idea if it were hers or not. For all he knew, it belonged to another one of her groupmates. All he did know was it was his now.

His first instinct was to snap at her for asking if he was sure. Of course he was sure. Wasn’t he? Even Derrick knew he was far too impulsive, and for the first time in a long time, he took a few seconds to rethink his words. “I guess so.” Apparently he hadn’t been sarcastic. What a shocker. Dance was very much a major part of his life and he was more than ecstatic he was able to make a career out of it. While his critiques of others was harsh at times, it was also honest, and possibly one of the few situations when he would show genuine admiration for the effort one put into it. “You performed incredibly well. Really.”

Well this was awkward. Rubbing his nape, Derrick stared over at her, then glanced down the hall towards the very same studio she had mentioned. “Yeah. I am.” His fingers lifted the bottle of water they held, “I was gonna practice for a few hours.” That was a lie. He planned to use the room for the entirety of the night. At least two or three times a week, Derrick tried to work in as much practice as he could, whether he had a comeback to prepare for or not. Dance was very much his outlet in many ways. “What move are you stuck on?” he asked, wanting to know just how important it was that she need the room that night.

"Nobody loves you besides me, but some days, you piss me off to the point where I consider leaving you." The leader muttered loping his arms around the younger dude, drunkenly patting his head.

His leader’s words prompted a drunken smile. Derrick wasn’t sure why, he he thoroughly enjoyed it when people told him just how irritating he could be. He supposed it was because it meant he was being thought about. Whether it be in a positive or negative light, attention was all he wanted from those he respected. Even if he would never admit to it. “I can’t have people thinking you’re some exception to my bad attitude. You might be my leader, but you’re not that special,” he teased. Everyone he worked with closely had become somewhat like family to him. Another thing he would never genuinely admit to. “You get paid to love me, though. Don’t forget that.”

It was possibly the strangest thing he had heard all day. Warm air rushed out from his nose in the form of a silent laugh and he shook his head. “I don’t think about clouds as anything but clouds.” Derrick smiled slightly, finding the topic amusing as well as odd. He was tempted to question the other’s sobriety. Such a question was something you would normally hear from someone who had gotten a few drinks in their system. Maybe the soloist was simply that quirky. Either way, Derrick didn’t mind. “If that were the case, then I might as well be a cloud. I have those thoughts multiple times a day.”

It began with a stifled snort, soon turning into a small bout of laughter. As soon as he mentioned needing facial hair, Derrick imagined various styles of mustaches on the other’s face. “Most Asians with mustaches end up looking like Mario or Luigi,” he stated, an amused smile still in play. “If you do that, I’m going to follow you around blasting the Mario theme.” The dancer soon squinted, peering over at the younger’s upper lip. “Aren’t you sixteen or something, though? Can you even grow a mustache?”
