Farewell, Cow Chop

Yikes. I’ve been preparing for this very moment but still cried in the end. Cow Chop and The Creatures have been such a big help in my life. Through all the darkest moments of my life these channels have given me a reason to smile and be alive. That ending song really yanked my heart strings. I wish the best to the remaining crew members of Cow Chop and to Offcanny too. To all that stayed for Cowchop, through good times & bad, thank you for your guys support and great content you add on this god for saken website. It’s definitely been a blast. I wish the very best to all of you.

todays mood is: crying because of the realization that james spent 9 hours making sure he replied to as many donations and called out as many gifted subs that he possibly could and responded to everyone in such a positive way and really showed how big of a heart he really has + going thru even more tweets, dms and other messages after the stream ended

I know some are upset about cowchop rn, but let’s be real. YouTube is the one to blame here, with demonitizing creators, constantly making new slippery- slope rules, etc.. Its a lot to keep up with and I can see why that can drain anyone. That’s also part of why people experience burnouts as well (just as James said in his video). *And heck, even aleks doesn’t even upload that much to YouTube too. And I would assume it’s for similar reasons as well*.

If YouTube had been a better platform, and wasn’t constantly making bad decisions. And making things much more stressful, it would be a lot better for creators to be on. A lot of my favs seemed to have jumped ship onto Twitch for similar reasons as well. I would not be surprised if later on down the line, big youtubers like mark, or jack leave too. Because gaming (as James said) has been pushed into the background. (Gaming companies end up striking it down anytime they wanna abuse the copyright system).

The whole reason why I’m saying this is because, this has been a much bigger issue than James or cowchop. It’s the whole platform that is an issue, and a lot of youtubers complained about this numerous amounts of times. YouTube (as a company) just does not listen to its creators. Creators are the ones to help build YouTube, its what helps them get money. Yet all the creators get is stress, etc.. And its probably not even worth it. :/
