cc deserves better than all the drama that always pops up 😔
i was really hoping the last few months would just end smoothly for those involved considering how much of a headache it has to be but nope, something has always got to happen
I just find it really funny that one of the things Matt complained about in texts was that he had SO MUCH of the editing workload... then in the Facebook/Reddit post he turned around and said that he was upset he never got a blue nametag in the videos he DID appear in??? Like, could you not take the time out to edit it in yourself? Literally creating his own problems. Good riddance, to let the rest have a peaceful couple of months.
100% of the issues he had could have been solved if he just acted like an adult and spoke up about it?? It’s so laughable honestly, that he said he has SOOOO much work, but then also wanted to appear on camera more, wouldn’t that just add more to the pile? lol
Here’s a good reddit thread to read through that has links to the facebook and twitter conversations involved, but i’ll try summarize for clarity!
- Matt is no longer with Cow Chop
- He will not be getting a goodbye video, and has already left the warehouse, so we will not being seeing anymore of him on Cow Chop
Everything else will be under a readmore due to photos and screenshots
- Sidenote, ‘Duke Eastwood’ on twitter, reddit and facebook, are all Matt
- Matt took to reddit to post ‘his side’ of the story, which was then deleted by mods. AFAIK, he was not happy about this, and messaged the mods about his annoyance. I think he said something in this discord as well, but I cannot vouch for that.
- Matt then took to the community Facebook to re-post his reddit thread, which was not met well.
- Lindsey replied with a rebuttal, but her comment has since been deleted, which I’ll post here:
- Brett has said that it was not a money issue at all, Matt’s constant remarks about being unhappy prompted him to suggest maybe Matt should leave, and so he did
- His ex-gf has posted screenshots of messages on Twitter showing how Matt resented and talked about his co-workers, displaying his poor attitude and corroborating what they said about his poor work attitude (@stylescoalition on twitter)
- Matt continues to say he is mad that he wasn’t asked to be on camera more despite;
1. Having a heavy workload already and
2. Never expressing this to anyone
3. Saying he didn’t want anyone to ask??
4. Said that he was never going to ask to be in videos???? then countered with: Honestly I don't care about being in some crusty VR videos, the point is I wasn’t asked
- Brett expressed that they never really say ‘no’ at Cow Chop, and that they would have included him had he said so. Note that Matt has been in various BTS videos, merch shoots, judged the cooking show, went to Europe as a part of Ciao Chop, etc
- The other members just want to try and finish the year on a positive note

I do! and I did see that! I said a few things on the reddit/twitter about it. Pretty much I can’t stand the guy, and his attempts to rip the curtains down as he left was laughable. His facebook post was the biggest sob-story I ever read, and I feel bad for Lindsey for having to deal with the drama on her last days.
ur the only reason i know anything is going on with cow chop or rooster teeth and it's really nice having a normal human being filter the bullshit thank you
i’m not as up to date as i once was but i know how hard it can be to find info sometimes so i like to try and at least let you guys know when something is up. slogging through a bunch of vague tweets to find what the actual drama is can be exhausting.
sorry i ain’t posted in a hot minute, i still love cow chop very dearly but i have some, thoughts, about the recent content and the direction it’s been going in so i haven’t been making much content on here nor actively reblogging stuff. that said i still love y’all and hope everyone’s been well
